It's surprising that CDs facing each other can do that, your knife didn't do well at first, but the results are amazing! Congratulation! 🎉🎉🎉

    How to demolish a blade...
There are so-called sharpeners. It doesn't cost much and is simple and durable to use.
For example, there is the “Fisher Bargoin”, a reference model accessible to everyone and easy to use.
For less than $20, it's a great brand that's well-known and used by cooking and butchery professionals.
This model sharpens a basic knife in 30 seconds, without having to use a drill/screwdriver, which not everyone necessarily has and which costs much more. Not counting the CDs, the bolt and the glue that you also have to buy.
This technique with CDs is perhaps good for sharpening axes and garden tools, but especially not knives, even low-end ones! Also, 220 grit sanding paper is too coarse. A knife blade, if you want to sharpen it with sanding paper, you must finish at least with a grain of between 600 and 1000 (at best, 3000). Then pass the blade over leather for finishing, preferably depositing green polish on it.

A long winded expensive way to ruin a good knife.

Interesting, but why is the video flipped?
In reality, it's righty-tighty, lefty loosie... But in your video, it's the exact opposite... Otherwise nice job...
