- It was a good crowd that showed up to Azusa Canyon last Sunday, I had plenty to record which is why this video is nearly ten minutes long. I did play around a bit with some new angles, and I even tried tracking riders at a nearly 400MM focal length range as they rode through some of the tighter sections of the canyon. Despite the unfortunate motorcycle accident, the riders seemed to calm their nerves down pretty quickly and get back out there on the road.

I had a bad feeling about the guy riding the blue and black Kawasaki with only jeans and a hoodie
he was looking for trouble and he got it.. what a turd...
He tries his best to fall and he did it ,kudos
He was pushing it too far & riding like a moron. Considering he had little protective gear on, he was very lucky to walk away virtually unscathed.

Man that Canon xf605 is a beast. Auto focus is spot-on and 4K is outstanding. How do you like filming fast action with it? Any issues or regrets with this camera? Were you shooting hand-held? Thank you for this!
Hey thanks for the comment. The 605 is my run and gun camera, with some practice I’m able to consistently capture action sports like this all day. No regrets, I will say tho…. I did purchase this camera thinking I would need a tripod, you don’t! Especially if what you’re recording is moving at high speeds. Good luck!

You can see that at the end of the turn, just before the tire slip, for some reason he is pushing on the handebars, increasing the bike lean angle instead of commiting fully to the turn. In my unprofessional opinion, the guy was going too fast for his skill, wanted to lean the bike in without leaning with his body.
What happened and the bike fell? What was the cause of the fall?
A preliminary investigation report was submitted to the International Squid Association. Looks like he leaned in too much and his right peg snagged on the road surface, causing his rear tire to lift up. That’s what I think at least.
