    The Pulsar Echorec is a software emulation of the iconic echo/delay unit of the same name produced by the Italian brand Binson in the 1960s.
    The sound of this magnetic disk delay differs from the tape delays used at the time, and has largely contributed to the audio signature of many 70s bands: Pink Floyd, The Shadows, Jimmy Page etc.

    Bypass would have been useful in the demo so we actually knew what the unit was doing to the dry signal..

    This is a great emulation of something that I could never possibly own.
    Their 1178 plug-in is fantastic too! I'm thinking about "The Mu," but I've go a lot of plug-ins...

    For as much as I love Soundtoys Echoboy and it's flexibility especially trying to do an Echorec - this beats it by a mile.

      I've had Soundtoys for years and I hate that they just won't fix their plugins low image resolution. On modern high res screens, Soundtoys plugins has tiny text that you need a magnifying glass to read. No fun at all. I don't know how they still exist selling that crap.

    Bjorn Riis did amazing review of this plugin. So i would really like to use it, but it doesnt work on my laptop.

    David gilmour did not use magnetics echos during the wall area (roland and other new numeric delays) but this sounds awesome. I love this plugin

    Syd Barrett was using a Binson Echorec long before Gilmour came along.

    Would be an instant buy for me... If there were no iLok protection. Why are adding such annoying and totally unnecessary user unfriendly mechanisms to your great plugins? What a waste.

      I love iLok protection; much better than machine based. Take Arturia machine license - I regularly over the last couple of years have had to re-authorize every couple of months. Been back & forth with Arturia tech support and they're totally useless.

      @@musicman8942 yeah, but I think there might be a possibility left you'd like no copy protection and all the freedom belonging to that a bit more. Oh yes iLok is great. Having pulsar Mu on two systems via iLok cloud and every time you change environment you have to re-enter your serial. Amazing really amazing customer comfort. Enough said.
      Concerning this little emulation. I bought Audioritys EchRec and it's a dream. Awesome indepth tweaking options (far more then from pulsar} and marvelous sound. And just a old school stress-free serial number. Once entered, done forever. Any more to say?

    Like tape emulation plugins... I HATE SPINNING CONTENT IN MY GUI! And my cpu too. Are you nuts? What a waste of space...ace..ce..e...

    • @PulsarPlugins
      @PulsarPlugins  3 года назад +8

      The spinning disc has a concrete use! It enables you to see the speed of the delay, it displays the chosen combinations of playback heads, it can be slowed down with the mouse to obtain surprising effects...

    • @PulsarPlugins
      @PulsarPlugins  3 года назад +11

      Also, we use the GPU for our interfaces, so they actually take less CPU than most other plug-ins, even without spinning content ! We guarantee that you will have no CPU problems, satisfied or refunded! ;)

    Very poor graphics programming. The visually unsteady stuttering rotating disk would drive me absolutely nuts. EDIT: It's apparently the screen capture software used in making the video that makes it look like it's skipping.

    • @PulsarPlugins

      Have *at least* tried the plugin ? Don't you think this is a side effect of the screen capture ? 🙃

      @@PulsarPlugins The "disk" should move smoothly as it rotates - but it skips.

      @@PulsarPlugins Ok - So, you mean the screen capture software that was used making the RUclips video? - Ok - got it. I'll assume the plugin is smooth. I edited my initial comment to explain the skipping. As for trying it - that's easier said than done. I just spent 10 mins trying to install it and the iLok "cloud" thing crashed. I've used iLok for over 15 years and that's never happened before. So, I can't try it. (w/Studio One) Thanks.

      @@jonztube You are not stuck with iLok cloud, you can move the license to and iLok dongle, or doing a machine activation as well.
