80% of retirees net worth increases…too many fear running out of money. Spend it while you can! I started my retirement at 60 hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, a 3500 km adventure in 2022. Last year my wife and I walked across Spain on the Camino Frances. This year, hiking in the Canadian Rockies and Italy. I spent my career as a family doctor watching too many patients let life pass them by. Time is our most precious asset. Don’t let it go to waste!
Yes. This is right up my alley! Just retired at 57, but not sure if the wife will let me go disappear on a thru hike for 4 months. We hiked Mt Blanc last year and always do many weekend overnight hikes but I feel I need to go get on a trail for a month or more to get properly fit and lean.

I’ll be 75 in January and fortunately in perfect health at present. Great food, no smoking or drugs and limited alcohol has been my approach. My husband and I will be going on several trips in 2025. January 2026 we will be in New Zealand/Australia for several months. Adventures? If you are in good health……. spend some of that money, friends.
Very true I retired at 63 felt as good as I did ever. Now 76 and still feel really well. I never smoked or drank alcohol, and never drug use. My doctor says I’m reaping the benefits from that now. But from age 70 till now I’ve had 2 total knee replacements, prostate cancer, a pin stroke last year and another surgery. I AM doing very well now , feel great and feel lucky. YES do things while you can!!!! After 70 to 75. You will not feel as good. And you will be shocked by all the people you have lost by that age….go have fun
It’s so wonderful to see you so happy. You worked so hard all of your life and managed your money and household very well and you so deserve to be prosperous and giddy! I love it!
You are right about letting go and spending money while you can still enjoy it. What struck me while watching this video was all the purchases we need to make because things keep wearing out. When we were young, things were made to last. We had a toaster from the 50s that was still working decades later. I bought a blender in the 1970s that lasted over 30 years. Large appliances could be expected to run for 20 years or more. Same for TVs, and if any of these broke down, we’d have them repaired. Today, things are made cheaply and aren’t intended to last more than a few years, leading to rampant consumerism and contributing to pollution when we toss them. It’s sad….
Another thing that is very good to do is foot care. Seeing a Podiatrist for nail care and then a salon for a pedicure. It is a learning curve to start spending money on yourself, it has always been put to the kids first. Great video
So at 67 I bought a guitar and took lessons, I still play, have 3 acoustic, 1 electric plus a Greek bouzouki, good for the mind and hand coordination. We bought kayaks and get out on the ocean which allows us to see lots of wildlife, Orcas, Bald Eagles, seals, etc. When I turned 70 in June I joined a yoga fitness group and even get a senior discount on my monthly fee. This year I plan to get back into marathon running as I took a year off, thinking of targeting the Athens Marathon in a few years. Oh yes and we bought a second vehicle (compact SUV) as we live in rural area. All good advice.
We upgraded our phones and iPads, expecting tariffs. We had a whole house generator installed for comfort and reliability. Have a 2021 car Subaru and a better home, both bought when we retired. Replaced our gas stove with electric. Anything to make life more comfortable and convenient.
Hey Guys, buy the espresso machine!!! I bought one for my wife for Mother’s Day and we’ve used it every morning since and every morning we feel like we’re back in Portugal. Great video!
Definitely go for it. Absolutely love my VW Eos convertible...( was lovely having a little chat in my local grocery store with you Tina, I was a bit starstruck).... nice to hear that Norm is a fellow Scot :)
Wow! Your channel has grown! 85k followers and rising. It's another surprising revenue source and proof you are on the right track. My spouse and I are retired and are very pleased with the 20%+ increase in our retirement funds in 2024. However, one must consider this an outlier year. Not likely to be repeated in 2025. We are going to give ourselves another raise (the third one this year) and planning more adventures. :)
I retired at age 53 and am now in my early 60s. Many people resisted me because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if you don't have to. I considered my life to be in phases. I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." After I retired, I left the nation and now reside in Latin America. I was able to enjoy my new surroundings and escape from all the bad things that were going on in America. I haven't yet encountered anyone who laments their retirement.
Nice way to retire. For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.
I love your idea of buying the air fryer on sale for future use! I do the same thing of buying things at a good price that I know I will need in the future. And if I don't need it at least I haven't spent the full price on it. I try to be careful and be sure that I am not buying something just because it's on sale!
Hey I'm 70 and the Mrs. is about to turn 68. We're right in the prime Go-Go years , so, this week I've played hockey in my over 65 league. Been to the gym twice, and taken a few walks. Need to get fit to be able to walk everyday on my two week hiking tour in Italy (through SD Tours) coming up in April. Yesterday I put the deposit down on the two week cruise around South America's Cape Horn for early 2026. Then today I put a deposit down on a new 2025 Toyota. (no Mustang Convertible for me but DAMN I'm envious, however, they don't make Corolla Convertibles). When we kick the bucket, the kids are going get a little less than they hoped but that's okay. They already gave us permission to spend our own savings. Obviously we're doing all this just to keep up with you two but its good to have idols to live up to...
All great advice! One must always "take a pulse" of their life in retirement, which includes the foundation of keeping oneself healthy in order to have the energy to enjoy life. With that accomplished and ongoing, everything else can follow. I've now been retired almost 3 years, and have come to realize that there is more available to me if I make goals and "swing big". Toys and little joys make life more interesting, comfortable, and enjoyable. Anyone who says "I'm not sure what I'll do in retirement" either has no creativity or has not yet come to realize that they are now the ones responsible for ALL their choices. The new found freedom can be overwhelming for some. I embrace every minute of it.
After working hard for 40 years and retiring at 55, I treated myself to a Ferrari F430 spider. A beautiful car, BUT I only kept it a year as I truly underestimated the attention it attracted even though it wasnt red! and the fear if anything went wrong with it. When i sold it, i basically got my money back. It was, however, a great experience. I still have the Mustang itch to scratch but also have my eye on a Lotus, esp as they are built in the neighbouring county of Norfolk. Life is worth living and as long as you are not being silly with your money, keeping an eye on what you have and what you spend, enjoy life. You dont know what's round the corner and you cant take it with you
Thank you. Not sure if and when it will happen yet as I've got some travelling with my wife to do first. 😃 Best wishes from Suffolk @@ThisIsOurRetirement
We just bought 2 new easy chairs. For the last 2 years, I have been patching and mending the worn spots on the upholstery, and I watched this video, and went out to buy 2 new chairs. Now I have to find a place to get rid of the old ones.
Some very good tips, thank you for sharing. I just turned 68 on October.27th. You are such a nice couple and I appreciate and enjoy your videos. I live in Montreal and have used public transportation all my life. 😊❤
We are taking 3 trips per year, one somewhere warm, one to our son's in Newfoundland and a third abroad. We will travel as long as we can get travel insurance. Then we will stay put.
Just talked to a friend who had a fall while visiting Nashville. She was taken to hospital, had several tests, was diagnosed with a concussion and released after 9 hours. The bill: $35, 000 USD. Yes, they had out-of-Province medical insurance. Consider this a friendly reminder to your subscribers from Canada not to travel without it.
Your suggestions are inspirational ! I had a personal trainer for 4 years I said I outsourced my willpower to my PT, so I do not have to debate myself on those days if I should go to the gym or not; now I have built up the habit and I would not miss gym for more than a few days !
There are also birding safaris in Africa. There are birding tours all over. Friends have gone several times with Guadualito Birding Tours in Colombia. These tours and safaris include small animals, insects, and plants as well.
Many of people can tho and their advice about how one might go about it is very true- everyone needs to save money (invest a portion of every paycheck) starting as young as possible. And, many of us live frugally and care careful with what we spend money on- during our child raising years. Great job Tina and Norm!
Wow! That is an adventure! The Amazon and the Galapagos sounds exciting! Looking forward to seeing how you like that! I am going to Thailand in January, so I'm trying to do my part! Lol
Thanks, the hubs just retired in October. We love it already. I've been watching you two for several years. You helped us get our plan together. Enjoy the Mustang , I did a commercial for Mustang back when I was young and cute. I loved mine.... nice power.
We are 7 months into my husband's retirement and have been spending that go-go money on our home improvements, experiences, and giving. You didn't save the money to have it sit!
It's great listening to you and your adventures but as my friend here said, the average retirees are still trying to make ends meet in this economy. Even a bus trip can be too expensive.
Trading in the 2011 Subaru for a new Subaru before tariffs hit. Why not? We can afford it and only second new car we have ever had! Taking a trip in the new car across America from very cold Minnesota to Arizona! Road trip!!
Good idea about the Mustang! I got my Mustang GT convertible in 2013. I was approaching retirement (2017) and it was the best thing I have done. I thought that you better get it now or you may never get one. It proved out. I have so enjoyed driving it while I was still working and the Km's are there to show it. It is so true that time and aliments will maybe reduce your abilities to enjoy things like that. Driving it makes me smile and I feel 11 years younger each time. Get the 5.0 litre you deserve it. Mine is Sterling Gray. It has premium the package and it looks as good as new! Red is nice too. Enjoy!
Hi Norm and Tina, more great advice, thanks. Many of our retirement experiences and decisions have mirrored yours before I even started following you. As they say, birds of a feather flock together. My wife and I have just completed all the research and booking for a two and a half month stay in Portugal this winter. Our snowbirding has always been in the southern US up to this point but our decision to try portugal this winter was in no small part due to your videos. Thanks for sharing all your experiences.
Visited Egypt last year and had a great time. Nice people and the Nile Cruise was fun. We spent time in Turkeye this year. There is a lot of world still out there to see. But, we are still working, so need to create time windows.
I bought the sports car (Mazda MX5) about 6 or 7 years before I retired and loved it. Sold the car for about what I paid for it after I retired, and am now enjoying extended overseas holiday adventures. Instead of being able to get away from my job for just 2 weeks at a time.
Speaking of Mustang convertibles, I know a couple who are aged 89 and 91 who bought one a few months ago. I think it is hilarious ( in a good way), and I am glad to see them enjoying retirement and life in general. They definitely aren't sittin' in their rocking chairs watching the world go by!
Another good video, but for the first time, I couldn't follow your logic, so you bought some extra appliances because they were on sale and then spent $149 for something to store them in, lol. We bought a Ford Focus convertible when we lived in England and absolutely loved it, so I know you guys will enjoy yours when you buy it. Have a great day!
My wife and I are looking at going to Ecuador and the Galapagos next year. Is it OK if we ask which tour company you used? Thanks for your great channel! Frank & Ann L.
No problem 😊 we booked with Exoticca 12 days Amazon Adventure and Galapagos Discovery , message us if you are going to book and we can give you a referral code where we both get $150 each , our friends gave us it and we both $150 discount the trip does sound amazing that’s why we booked and because they had such a wonderful time Cheers 🍻🙂🍷
I worked for a short time in Kenya a two years ago and had an amazing safari experience. Need tips let me know. Strongly recommend that you get private guide. Not that much more expensive than group experience.
One thing about a blood pressure monitor, it doesn't test for hypertension. That's where one's arteries are narrowing like holding your thumb over the end of a hose, more volume is forced thru a smaller tube. You can be registering normal blood pressure but be a ticking time bomb as well. An ECG is a better way to test if someone has that silent killer hypertension.
An ECG evaluates heart rhythms which can discover if the heart is enlarged which would be a sign of hypertension. If you're in a hospital bed they hook you up to a monitor that registers your heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. All that will give a good picture of your current state. However a blood pressure monitor does one thing: measures your blood pressure and it tells you whether you're high (hypertension), low (hypotension), or just right.
Sending a heartfelt hello your way and thank you for another great video. Just one word on the blood pressure .... it is important to keep an eye on it, for sure, yet if you have an anxiety disorder which includes white coat high blood pressure then always taking the blood pressure in the doctors office will backfire (and I speak from own experience). Wishing you a wonderful trip and say high to the turtles from me :).
I went to Egypt a few years ago, before retirement, through Wingbuddy. Four days in Cairo then 4 days on a Nile River cruise. Then we went to England, twice (hit the museums and walked where Jane Austen lived). Yes, I had my photo taken on a camel near the pyramids of Giza and yhen later holding a baby crocodile. 😊 Recently, to celebrate my retirement this month we went on a Mediterranean cruise and knocked 2 more things off my bucket list: Pompeii and Florence. ❤ from here on in my travel plans are open to suggestion since I've seen my dream locations. Perhaps a return to Italy and France.
Another great video. All fantastic suggestions, most of which I already follow. Although I'm not retiring for 5 years or so, I've been laser focused on prolonging my lifespan and my health-span since age 50. Now I'm 55 and in the best health of my life. All we have to work with is health, time and money (if we're lucky) in that order of importance, so it makes sense to protect our health to enable the most fulfilling use of the other two. I'm a lifelong car enthusiast, so I recently purchased a Mazda Miata convertible 6-speed back in June and I had a blast driving it all summer. It'll be nice to already own a fun sports car when I retire, I'm even considering doing some amateur racing, but not until I take some competition driving lessons. I am so ready for retirement!
Was just thinking the other day of the services I can now afford to purchase which make life more convenient and enjoyable. I have a pedicure once a month, have a fantastic whole house clean once a month , have a handy man who looks after all sorts of household problems and this year for the first time i hired a guy who put up Christmas lights. For $150 he supplied the lights and a timer, set them all up and will come in January to take them down - money well spent in my opinion.
lol, we are going to Egypt! Actually tomorrow we head to the Dominican Republic for a month, then we’ll head to Egypt and Morocco….what a winter this will be! We also bought a travel van…exploring this great country one park at a time this spring, summer and fall….then somewhere warm once again.
Health and experience, bought a yoga mat. Exercising and stretching going for a walk , eating a high protein diet. Down to 85kg.spending money on new teeth and a sl63 convertible. Wagyu steak, Bailey's in my coffee, whiskey and women. Punta canada next week, Columbia for January , belize in March and nova scotia for the summer. Ps my last cheque will bounce. Nice tshirt. Tyb
Cool! That will be an awesome trip. Me and my family are taking the leap. We sold our home in Ontario and are heading to paraguay. We have never been there before and we dont know anyone from there. It is our crazy adventure. Oh nice! A convertible! The wife and I would have liked to get one if we would have stayed in Canada. I really don't like driving though. There are way too many bad drivers out there.
We bought one and now we couldn't do without it, we call her loulou and when we go shopping we put her on and when we get home the carpets look great lol😊
Great suggestions guys. Your hair is gorgeous Tina. Loving the Def Leppard tee shirt Norm. Plenty of food for thought in this video, as always. I'd love a convertible! Keeping in touch with ex colleagues is cool. Lunch or breakfast out with friends is excellent advice. I do this. Getting to the movies is great too, keeps you in touch with modern culture/current affairs. Im thinking of getting a new laptop. Black Friday might help with that!!! Speaking of air fryers..... should I get one? That unit sounds and looks great! All in all, another thoroughly enjoyable and informative video. You're on fire!!! 🔥 Keep it up. 😊😊
Thanks for the compliment! Norm got a new laptop this year, as his last one bought on 2013 was not getting updates. We like the air fryer because it’s a mini oven and saves lots in electricity and in summer doesn’t heat up the kitchen. Good luck with your decisions and thanks for watching.
My wife and I bought a convertible car some 8 years ago and it is a large part of our leisure time - it’s as nice having the roof down in the winter as it is the summer in our view, as long as you spec the car with heated seats and heated steering wheel. We will never now be without a convertible - always wear a pair of glasses when driving tho as stones and grit with the eyes etc. also have a lovely sports car too and together they keep my wife and I young……hopefully!
Norm I researched the MX-% for years and test drove it. My neighbor the retired MP detective Claude had a 1017 MX-% and ordered a new one in 2025. The problem is that this car is perfect after 25 years of design but ......the noise off the road is 80 DB so it has damaged ears and if you like music or want to wear ear plugs or sound defining then it's NOT your new toy. But , maybe some other car ?? We love that drive along the superior mountains from the sault to Wawa and Thunder bay.
I enjoy watching you guys and learning more. I am retiring in 3 years but want to know if I can get money from my RRSP early before. Do we get docked if we take it out early? Would appreciate your insight.
Hi Norm and Tina: Music is my passion with attending live music and my audiophile systems. We just bought two new air fryers and an Insta Pot. A Mustang sounds amazing. Die with zero! Cheers from Jamaica.
Very funny to hear the two of you talking about buying stuff. On the other hand, buying $400 worth of stuff is less than you spent on tips for your trips last year. Kudos to you for your good fortune and sharing your stories with us. Did you really buy a mustang convertable? I live 500 miles south of you and would not consider it.

Large appliances could be expected to run for 20 years or more. Same for TVs, and if any of these broke down, we’d have them repaired. Today, things are made cheaply and aren’t intended to last more than a few years, leading to rampant consumerism and contributing to pollution when we toss them. It’s sad….
Yes things don’t last as long anymore Susan it's a real problem.
Another thing that is very good to do is foot care. Seeing a Podiatrist for nail care and then a salon for a pedicure. It is a learning curve to start spending money on yourself, it has always been put to the kids first. Great video
Thanks for sharing!! great idea 🙂🌺
Huh?🤷♂️
@@PJBHolden Without good foot care you can have issues as an older person, many older people neglect this.
@@willowgirl2635 pedicures?? 🙌😂
Yes.... Norm will love the feeling of the wind in his hair!!!
😂😂
Keep your cap on!!
It would be rain here on the west coast! Lol
Thanks!
Thanks Pat We are glad you enjoyed it! 🙂🌺🇺🇸🇨🇦
Wow that is a great active life!
Are you near Seattle, WA? Your pleasure activities are great!
@@VivaciousOM 4.5yrs ago moved from Vancouver BC to a small town on Vancouver Island. (about 35miles north of Victoria)
@ Lovely! Seeing orcas and kayaking in the ocean means off Seattle’s coast to me as an American. Best to you making the most of your retirement years!
We upgraded our phones and iPads, expecting tariffs. We had a whole house generator installed for comfort and reliability. Have a 2021 car Subaru and a better home, both bought when we retired. Replaced our gas stove with electric. Anything to make life more comfortable and convenient.
That's great you made life easier and more comfortable in retirement 🙂🌺
Norm enjoy that wind blowing through your thick hair lol. You guys are awesome keep up the videos
Hey Guys, buy the espresso machine!!! I bought one for my wife for Mother’s Day and we’ve used it every morning since and every morning we feel like we’re back in Portugal. Great video!
That’s awesome! We are thinking about an espresso machine, too! ☕
Great episode with many useful tips! Love your channel. 😊
We appreciate the support! 🙂🌺
Definitely go for it. Absolutely love my VW Eos convertible...( was lovely having a little chat in my local grocery store with you Tina, I was a bit starstruck).... nice to hear that Norm is a fellow Scot :)
We will take a look at the VW Eos it was nice chatting with you too have a great weekend Cheers 🙂🍷🏴🇨🇦
It is a great time to be retired, but we hope that good times will continue!
Haha.
We have never regretted taking early retirement 🙂
Have a great weekend Cheers 🇺🇸🍻🇨🇦
I love your idea of buying the air fryer on sale for future use! I do the same thing of buying things at a good price that I know I will need in the future. And if I don't need it at least I haven't spent the full price on it. I try to be careful and be sure that I am not buying something just because it's on sale!
Yes, we try to be practical about what we buy on sale.Happy New Year 🇺🇸🥳🥂🇨🇦
Hey I'm 70 and the Mrs. is about to turn 68.
It's great to see you guys are living it up in retirement! Cheers! 🍻🙂
It’s great to hear from someone who embraces retirement! 🙂 we love ❤️ it Cheers 🍻🙂
Hi Tina and Norm, very important video and very funny! Always enjoy all your tips. Stay well.
We're glad you enjoyed it! 🙂🌺
You dont know what's round the corner and you cant take it with you
Great advice and good luck with the Lotus, we used to live in Norfolk.
That’s wonderful enjoy your new chairs 🙂🌺
I bought my Mustang convertible in 2006 (at the age of 41). It’s still running strong.
That’s great 🚗🙂
Some very good tips, thank you for sharing. I just turned 68 on October.27th. You are such a nice couple and I appreciate and enjoy your videos. I live in Montreal and have used public transportation all my life. 😊❤
It’s great to hear from Montreal! 🍁Happy Belated Birthday 🥳🌺
We are taking 3 trips per year, one somewhere warm, one to our son's in Newfoundland and a third abroad. We will travel as long as we can get travel insurance. Then we will stay put.
We are doing the same! Happy Travels. 🙂🌺 ✈️🚢
@ThisIsOurRetirement yes, we are going to the Algarve in February because of your videos!
Awesome enjoy your time there 🇵🇹🍻🇨🇦
Just talked to a friend who had a fall while visiting Nashville. She was taken to hospital, had several tests, was diagnosed with a concussion and released after 9 hours. The bill: $35, 000 USD. Yes, they had out-of-Province medical insurance. Consider this a friendly reminder to your subscribers from Canada not to travel without it.
always loved the magic laundry hamper, I put in the hamper then magically it appears on the hanger all clean and ready to wear, amazing! 😁
It is so great to see what makes life easier for you, enjoy! 😂🌺
Your suggestions are inspirational ! I had a personal trainer for 4 years I said I outsourced my willpower to my PT, so I do not have to debate myself on those days if I should go to the gym or not; now I have built up the habit and I would not miss gym for more than a few days !
Very happy for you Tina feels the same about swimming 🏊 after a while it’s part of your life and really miss it when she can’t do it 🙂
So much great advise, enjoy life, tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Cheers 🍻🙂
Yes, just turned 70 and I feel like I have slowed down a little…Wish I had retired 10 years ago!
We are glad we were 58 and 61 🙂
There are also birding safaris in Africa. There are birding tours all over. Friends have gone several times with Guadualito Birding Tours in Colombia. These tours and safaris include small animals, insects, and plants as well.
Wow very interesting thanks for sharing Cheers 🌺🙂
Going to Africa in August!!! Bucket list. So excited. 😊
Sounds awesome 👏🐘🦒🙂
🙏, good advice, thank you!
Thanks!
Glad your rich enought to do this - thank you, seems most cannot reach this goal - thank you
We lived pretty frugally , the plan was always to sell our house and invest the money 💰 which we did to help fund our retirement Cheers 🙂🍻
Many of people can tho and their advice about how one might go about it is very true- everyone needs to save money (invest a portion of every paycheck) starting as young as possible. And, many of us live frugally and care careful with what we spend money on- during our child raising years. Great job Tina and Norm!
Thanks Marilyn have a great weekend 🙂🌺🍷
I am so glad to see you again
Wonderful we love seeing you too 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving to you from me here in USA!
Thank you, we wish you a great holiday!🇺🇸🍻🇨🇦
Wow! That is an adventure! The Amazon and the Galapagos sounds exciting! Looking forward to seeing how you like that! I am going to Thailand in January, so I'm trying to do my part! Lol
Enjoy your trip to Thailand! 🇹🇭✈️ Thanks for watching Cheers 🙂🍻
Quick tip: when taking your blood pressure make sure you have an empty bladder.
A full bladder can raise your pressure 👍
That is great advice, thanks for sharing!🙂🌺
Heading to Galapagos next Thursday for three weeks. Went to Patagonia early January this year. Love the region down there by South America.
That’s great we hope you have a wonderful time 🙂
I have the same air fryer from Costco I love it
Great 👍
Thanks, the hubs just retired in October. We love it already. I've been watching you two for several years. You helped us get our plan together.
Enjoy the Mustang , I did a commercial for Mustang back when I was young and cute. I loved mine.... nice power.
It's great to hear you're enjoying retirement and thanks for watching us! 🍻🙂
We are 7 months into my husband's retirement and have been spending that go-go money on our home improvements, experiences, and giving. You didn't save the money to have it sit!
Love that you are enjoying your retirement! Cheers 🙂🍷🌺
Road trip!!
Sounds great 🙂
Good idea about the Mustang! Enjoy!
That’s awesome, glad you’ve enjoyed it! 🚗🙂
I took my driver's test in a 1967 Mustang and took my honeymoon in a 1972 Mustang Boss... those were the days! :)
Your very welcome we hope you have a wonderful time in Portugal 🇵🇹🍻🙂
We actually got a Mustang convertible and love going for drives in it in the spring to the fall! Go for it!
Sounds great glad you are enjoying yours 🚗🙂
Visited Egypt last year and had a great time. Nice people and the Nile Cruise was fun. We spent time in Turkeye this year. There is a lot of world still out there to see. But, we are still working, so need to create time windows.
Egypt and Turkey are great choices. 🙂🌺
I bought the sports car (Mazda MX5) about 6 or 7 years before I retired and loved it. Sold the car for about what I paid for it after I retired, and am now enjoying extended overseas holiday adventures. Instead of being able to get away from my job for just 2 weeks at a time.
That's fantastic, enjoy your adventures! 🌺✈️🚢☕️
Great video! Can you link details on the Safari company mentioned? Would like to add to our research bucket. Thanks!
We just know it’s Approach tours Canada 🇨🇦
Great advice! Enjoy each day!
Thanks we try too 🙂🌺
Inspirational book along these lines: “Die With Zero”
Yes we have done a video about it, interesting book.
Thank you! I needed a new toaster and you picked a great one. Also booking trips for 2025 and you gave me some great ideas.
You are most welcome! We're glad you found the video helpful! 🙂
It's all about enjoying life while you can! what an awesome story 🙂👍
Good message about the "silent"killer.
Have a great weekend Cheers 🙂🍻
I would love to see that coffee bar with all the appliance
We actually posted a photo of it on our community page today 🙂🌺
Another good video, but for the first time, I couldn't follow your logic, so you bought some extra appliances because they were on sale and then spent $149 for something to store them in, lol.
We bought a Ford Focus convertible when we lived in England and absolutely loved it, so I know you guys will enjoy yours when you buy it.
Have a great day!
Seemed logical at the time 😂😂😂
They earn a commission if you purchase through their link. It’s advertising/selling.
We post the links as people ask where and what we have bought , we do say we get a small commission 🙂☕️
You definitely have to spend in the ‘go-go’ years! That health window is only open for a short unknown time.
You are so right! 🙂
I worked for a short time in Kenya a two years ago and had an amazing safari experience. Need tips let me know. Strongly recommend that you get private guide. Not that much more expensive than group experience.
Thanks for the advice! We'll have to add that to our travel bucket list. 🐘🦒
Good to know
An ECG evaluates heart rhythms which can discover if the heart is enlarged which would be a sign of hypertension.
@@wrongwayconway I guess my point was you could have hypertension and normal blood pressure also.
❤ I enjoy your videos and this was one of my favourites. You are so adorable while being smart and sharing such good information. Thank you.
Your very welcome 🙂☕️❤️
Spending < happiness
Happiness = happiness
Awesome 👏
Love the video and so happy for you having lots of fun!
We’re having a blast and hope you are too!🍻🙂
Sending a heartfelt hello your way and thank you for another great video.
Thanks so much for your comment we do agree with you.
That’s fantastic you've been able to travel so much! Enjoy retirement! 😊🍻
We loved our trip to the Amazon and Peru with Gate 1 and are going to Mexico's Copper Canyon in 2 weeks. Mike is 75 and going strong. Great points.
By the way, get rid of the old appliances and enjoy your new ones. You don't need the clutter. Wait, it's none of my business.😊
That’s wonderful, have a great trip! 🍹🇲🇽🙂
Sounds like you are living your best life! The Mazda Miata sounds a lot of fun we can’t wait to get a fun car 🚗🍻🙂
That’s a great plan to enjoy retirement, we agree that these services make life easier 🙂🌺
Thanks for all the great ideas. Hope you both are having a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Thanks, we had a great Thanksgiving too! Happy holidays!🇺🇸🙂🇨🇦
lol, we are going to Egypt! Actually tomorrow we head to the Dominican Republic for a month, then we’ll head to Egypt and Morocco….what a winter this will be! We also bought a travel van…exploring this great country one park at a time this spring, summer and fall….then somewhere warm once again.
Whoops..forgot to say we likely wouldn’t have done a van but we have a sweet dog, makes it so much easier with the big sleeper van!
That is so cool and what a coincidence be sure to get that photo 🇪🇬 Have an awesome trip, we had a nice trip to Morocco enjoy.
Nice to be able to travel and include your dog!
Tyb
You’re living your best life! Cheers! 🍻🙂
Whiskey and Baileys will destroy your aging liver.
Good luck we are looking forward to getting a convertible car 🚗🙂
Loved your show today and loved seeing you two joking around and having so much fun!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers 🍻🙂
Love this!! Thank you! 😊 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video! 😊🍷
Our Black Friday spend was updating our robot vacuum cleaner, a great invention.
I will second this. Absolutely brilliant things in the right place.
We bought one and now we couldn't do without it, we call her loulou and when we go shopping we put her on and when we get home the carpets look great lol😊
That’s a great idea! 👍we have one maybe she needs updating 🤔
Great video! I can’t wait to see your convertible when you get it.
We will film it very exciting 🚗🙂
Great video thank you! Can’t wait to see you driving the convertible 🚘
Thanks Patty we can’t wait either! 🚗🍻🙂
Wise words as usual! Thanks!
Thanks for watching! 🙂 🍷
That is awesome! we are looking forward to getting a convertible car 🙂❤️
I love your ideas! ❤
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for sharing wouldn’t of thought about that 🙂
I have never regretted retiring at 44
I enjoy watching you guys and learning more. I am retiring in 3 years but want to know if I can get money from my RRSP early before. Do we get docked if we take it out early? Would appreciate your insight.
No you can take RRSP money out but will pay your current rate of tax on it.
Thanks. Someone told me I cannot take any money out till 70. I guess that was wrong information.
great video as always! quick question whether you guys use a financial advisor or do it all yourselves, at your bank or a financial app? thx
We are diy investors, we made it a “hobby”, and read about finances
@ WOW that’s commendable! Thanks
"All that wind on your hair Norm!"

Maybe Tina’s 😂😂
Hi Norm and Tina: Music is my passion with attending live music and my audiophile systems. We just bought two new air fryers and an Insta Pot. A Mustang sounds amazing. Die with zero! Cheers from Jamaica.
Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲 Paul first snow ⛄️ back here brrr 🥶🙂
A Mustang is a great choice. That's my daily driver and I hope to hang onto it forever :)
It sounds like you have a great car, and a great attitude! 🙂☕️ We cant wait to get one Cheers 🙂🍻
My splurge for Black Friday I bought a metal detector for my new hobby. Off to find that buried treasure!
Sounds like fun! Happy hunting! 🍻🙂
I took a 'safari' in Pattaya... it was pretty good
Sounds great 🦒🙂🐘
I'm not sure if Norm will enjoy the wind in his hair as much as Tina in the convertible😉
Yes that was a joke that could have gone further 😂😂
That's what I was going to say., lol. At least his head is more aerodynamic. 😊
Yup was thinking the same
I'm concerned with the possibility of ending up in a nursing home that cost mega money. On second thought, a cruise would probably be cheaper!! LOL
The car is coming this summer 🙂thanks for watching ☕️
Sports car is on my list! So much fun.
Enjoy life and get that sports car! 🏎️ we are looking forward to getting one 👍🌺
