Gosh the pencil test is so freaking clean. Wish they did that instead of the one we got, but at the same time I understand since they must've been working on the movie at the same time.
A movie they shouldn’t have made. Non canon stuff that takes away from the actual show and its visual potential is not worth it if it’s parasitical to the source material !
@@anaveragegamer359how it makes more money. 99 percent of anime movies are boring and bad lmao like all the one piece, Naruto, jjk, mha movies etc have bad generic plot with the most boring predictable antagonists or villains ever lol. It lacks depth since it's not canon so go figure. It's a waste of budget to discard canon events made by the author for some quick filler entertainment
Ironically, the animator who made this aka Vincent Chansard also worked on the animation on Malevolent Shrine during the Mahoraga fight. Specifically his animation was when Sukuna smiles as he begins to charge up his fire arrow.
I would definitely cry after doing something where I put effort, and why not? Love for the manga I’m animating to make it loyal just to the executives to decide that they are not putting them
Tbh, i'm not mad about the censoring and the rest, but, wtf the pencil test was smooth af, an anime doesn't need to be smooth all the time, but the final result where Toga was touching people with Uraraka's quirk was really LAZY, it loses the potential of the impactof the power up Lol
Context: the original animation was made by Vincet Chansard a highly praised and really popular in recent years french animator, and as you can see didnt make it until the final version, the reason for this it wasn't censorship but lack of time since My Hero Academia's production times are really short(around a year) that plus the fact that this season was producen during the covid pandemic. Don't blame Studio Bones for this, its not their fault, if you want to blame someone, blame TOHO animation and the Animation comitees.
I don't understand so please answer this if you can. If the pencil test already had this fluid animation, couldn't they just copy this into the main episode but add color to it?
@@The_Ronster_Drawz ok that explains it, thank you. It's a shame that they had to devote all their time and energy to the third movie. I can't imagine what MVA would've been like otherwise

I wonder if Toga can achieve quirk awakening for other quirks? Like can she mimick Shigaraki and then have her version of decay awaken and now we have TWO city level destroyers? What about copying Twice? Even MORE spam.
She said that she only copies that abilities of people that she loves/has a crush on so that means she can copy, Deku, Ochako, Stain and maybe Tsuyu's quirks because she openly stated that she has a crush on those people.
@@littlewitchling535 yeah because japan hates this arc 💀, notice all season the animation been fluid and honestly amazing but this arc the animation has been identical to the manga not bad but its not elevating it like the first 2 arcs

@@littlewitchling535 dude you're comparing a pencil test half finished for one scene and versus a scene that was created along side time constraints and budget allocation plus its a fully made scene with all the color put in and details that the pencil sketch lacks and fully coloured plus voice over and score and plus sevreral other more that had to be animated along with this one, see how you much more time and effort that takes.
Studios such as the one that animated MHA don't use apps sadly but instead use stuff such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate and so much more. I might be paraphrasing, but I heard that the likely reason why the sketched version "wasn't used" was because it was by an animator not working with the studio (an animator who worked on JJK S2) The studio were allowed to use that sketch as a basis/reference for the scene though, which ultimately results in the scene we got
Vincent did this for Bones, it’s literally official layout for the show so ofc they would be able to use it. The reason they didn’t was because of a lack of time
I’m guessing the og key animation was censored, we might not get it till the blu-ray release
censured and less fluid because of time or budget
Does anyone know if it's happned yet?
