In this game of lower level StarCraft 2 it is clear both players are trying to execute a different playstyle. One goes for Roaches and Hydralisks, where as the other focuses on Zerglings Banelings and Mutalisks. However, nothing goes quite right...

I who also crawl on the unranked matchups still tend to build quick ravagers with overseers vs protoss, just to be prepared for like cannon rush x3

That awkward silence that accompanies the moment when the Spore Crawlers you thought would be useless end up almost entirely devastating the opponent's Mutalisk offensive...
I never played high level but crawlers are much better than people give them credit for.
My favorite prank is to put them in the mineral line (where they get in the way) then put all of the overlords above them and mix a few capable units into the ball of chaos. Amazingly large death balls just vanish under the overlords. All their [good] units end up dealing damage to crawlers while my drones attack and surround them. If it works out the crawlers, hatchery and overlords take a lot of damage.
The most hysterical crawler attack build is to make ultras, stick them in overlords, add some lings and use remaining overlords to bring your queens and a good number of drones. Then drop the ultralisks in their base, creep their base with the overlords, place a creep tumor and spam crawlers. The ovi, tumors and unfinished crawlers don't deal damage so they don't get attacked much. Then when they think they've cleaned up the place this forest of nasty stuff pops out of the ground. If I can get away with it I will also build a hatchery in their base. This hatch makes nothing but queens and drones. Ofc transfuse the hell out of everything. Tons of hp on these crawlers, plenty of time for transfusion.
Early on there were some high level games with drones and overlords attacking bases. Some while armies were dying far far away.
