I really enjoyed Dickinson. It was original and different to any period piece i’ve seen. It was refreshing. I really loved the modern aspect to it. I loved the comedy, the drama and so on. Loved this.

I just binge watched this series, and it was so different, encompasses comedy, emotions, motivation , drama, art and sensuality. I cried thrice during the binge watch. The best different was inculcation of poems and thoughts, beautiful writing. I felt touched by the lines, the poems were far ahead of the times. Such a coming of age entertainment.
I perceived the dad as being abusive and then “love bombing” Emily to make up for the abuse. Then left with Austin turning out to be just like his father.
Can’t wait to see where they go with season 2!
I'm not gonna lie I started this show because of Hailee but man this whole cast and directors and Alena of course cought me. What an amazing show they all created and the performances. And also be able to learn about Emily omg just thank you for creating shows like this. Bravo.
The mitski song choice was a great move. It was very moving and i could totally feel the emotions emenating from the screen
Credit where credit is due, THE SHOW IS FREAKING AWESOME! I'm not even into poetry but it's incredible. It's different (doesn't follow the meta), old school but with a modern take, an incredible setting and the cast is perfect. Cannot wait for Season 2 and hopefully more Seasons into the future and some longer episodes. 10 episodes defiantly didn't give us enough

The use of modernisms annoyed me at first, but then I heard the line "Let's go peep some leaves.", and I was sold.
The modernisms its for get some attention, based on humor. One show very intelligent
such a great show, the chemistry within the cast is also incredible. I love Hailee Steinfeld and seeing her in this role is great!! And I agree within everyone in the comments, such an intellectual conversation. ♥️♥️

I am obsessed with this show! I just hope more people see it because I think it doesn't get much attention unlike the shows in netflix.
I am in love with show , I've always wanted someone to take a historical story and make it in a way that it's more relevant and understood in our time . I love that they use modern songs and our way of speaking (more casual) in the show, compared to other historical shows who use a more elaborate language. Also, as it was mentioned in the video, you can't feel the gape between then and now which makes it even more relatable.

I love this show so much. I´m so addicted to it.. This storyline is amazing. I love all characters.. The relationship between the family, between emily and sue, emily and the lawyer.. it´s so delightful to watch! and the poems are magical!

Love this freakin show, binge watch in a couple hours.
I really enjoyed this series i dont even know how many times i binged watch this. The poems, the artistry, the costumes, the acting, cast, background, everything about it is just perfect and the modernity of this show just makes it unique. Cant wait for s3

I was just looking for something to watch and I am so glad I stumbled upon this show. So unique and so modern... One of the best shows yet...
Absolutely one of my favourite shows of 2019 and hanging out for season two. Such clever TV in every way. Easily the most watchable and enjoyable show I’ve seen in a very long time. All the performances are wonderful, brilliant choice of music throughout and the perfect use of Emily’s poems.
Have watched it through three times now and I’m pretty much obsessed so a fourth viewing isn’t too far away.

As a sign of the times both were frowned upon by "the culture". Therefore many couples were thrown together based on what promised a good family and not love. Many same sex individuals had to live their true lives in secret or deny it for most of their life.

@@ernieellan5694 I absolutely agree with you. And would like to add that since, this culture wasn't talked about. People did get confused to be able to differentiate between romantic and platonic love. (People still do) and sexuality are feelings are too complicated to ever be straight (see what i did there?) Also since the whole show and her life is solely based on interpretation of various facts. Alot of theories can be made. Also, it could've been that they were bisexual or something. So in conclusion there are tones of factors that could be the reason of them being shown together in the show.
Hailee is so gorgeous and smart and i love her music. And can we all talk about how beautiful ella hunt is and she was amazing in Dickinson. I love the chemistry between ella and hailee. They'll make a great couple 🔥❤️

I really don't think Hailee Steinfeld particularly enjoys these sort of press junkets. I think she has the mindset that I could be working on a project or an album rather than doing these sort of gatherings. She is actually much more energetic during her Instagram live shows with her cast mates then these. But she deserves all the respect and love. To be a great singer, actor and a producer is not easy and she is knocking it out of the park.

I have a bone to pick with how the host describes the show at the beginning. Is Emily Dickinson REALLY portrayed as sexually adventurous? She only really has sex with one person in the show... her beloved best friend Sue. That seems like the opposite of sexually adventurous unless it’s only adventurous because Sue is a woman?
