Windows 12 will be heavily AI feature packed. Microsoft is buying time (and doing some feature experimenting) with Win11. Apple and Android will be on the same path whether people like it or not.
I use AI all the time… I have been able to find obscure info in a matter of seconds… AI is just a tool we can use if we want to… I’m old enough to remember everyone whining about seat belts in cars, then catalytic converters, then fuel injection…and on and on. Get on board or get left behind!
Agree on the AI thing, sadly. Regarding Linux: it's mostly true in gaming and video/image editing. The rest of the us-mortal's daily work can be done in the same way as you'd do it on Windows. Yeah, you still need the terminal for some tasks, but it's not THAT hard to use. I think that's the only culprit that keeps users away from it.
I use my PC in a certain way. As of now that way doesn't require or need AI. But, I'm not afraid of it, and if more AI finds its way to my PC that's ok. If I have no need for it now that doesn't mean I won't in the near future. I may start playing around with it and find I love it. I just purchased a new desktop PC. It doesn't have the fancy processor to run recall, and I'm not buying another one just for that. So whatever AI eventually comes to my PC I will embrace it, and I will learn it. It doesn't hurt because it's their. I'm hoping I can see the day were AI is in shortwave receivers and SDRs on the PC. I think that could offer a lot of potential for SW and amateur radio.
AI is a party trick. A mass collection of data from users. MS should clean up and optimize the windows code, then build on top of it. I will just disable its features in the group policy editor, as most businesses will…
It's hilarious for you to think AI will be pushed to consumers, when consumers want nothing to do with it. - Nobody is scared. We simply deny useless trash into our lives. (More than we already have, and we keep abandoning the other useless trash as we go.)
It will be pushed and people will use it as it will give tons of new ways to work and use technology, you will be using it without knowing you are using AI
@@WCT I appreciate your channel providing news, but with all due respect: - AI is a gimmick. It can NEVER, and I mean NEVER replace even half-competent work with human hands, let alone in-depth human analysis in fields which you cannot even begin to read words in your own language. The joke was funny for a few years, but you better just let it go. AI will be an art tool at most, and nothing more.

It's called innovation guys. You're just gonna have to live with it.
