Excellent shave Ken. That Rockwell T2 is awesome looking. I get good results from the Rockwell blades in a Rockwell branded razor but not so much in other razors. Glad you decided to spoil yourself you deserve it.

I wanted to like the T2 as much as my 6S. The adjuster is a bit stiff, the size of the head makes it difficult to get under my nose, but it does a good job. You might have to shave the stash just so you can test that for yourself.

My very first safety razor was a Rockwell Model T. I was a Kickstarter pledger. So we were the firsts to get it. When they came out with the T2, they gave the original pledgers the chance to get one at a very affordable price. So I now have a Model T2. 😀 Never looked back. Never shaved with a cartridge again. I now have 6 razors!
I have a T2 and a 6c in my collection - both lovely razors but I have to say that the 6c is smoother. I like changing the setting on the fly, but the 6c is so nice to use I happily put up with the little bit of extra effort required for changing base plates. Very hard to go wrong with Rockwell!
The Gunmetal Rockwell T2 was my first razor. Started shaving DE in August. I started with Persona med prep on setting 3, Astra on 4, King C Gillette on 4, Feather on 41/2, Gillette Platinum most recently initially, on 41/2, then 5 and 6 for this morning's 3rd. shave. Very comfortable and no nicks or weepers. I rotate 4 razors now, the T2, Merkur 39c Slant, Parker Semi-slant, and Gem Bullit Flying Wing. The GEM Bullit has the most blade feel, but so far has not cut me. It is efficient. The blade is the Persona GEM coated.
Now that is a really nice looking razor Ken! Looks like high quality for sure! Another great high end cologne you should look into if you haven’t already is Parfums de Marly. Really nice colognes! Hope your Christmas and holidays are going good!💈🤘🏻

Hey, that must be an aggressive razor as well, since you need to use setting 2. But on my Blackland Osprey, setting 2 is far too mild for my course whiskers. lol

Great shave Ken! I think Rockwell would hit a homerun if they could make this razor a bit smaller. Maybe a little larger than the Gillette FatBoy, or about the same size as the 6c/s. And definitely reduce the head size, it's not quite as manageable as other adjustables.
Ken you must have a lot of soaps by now, do you end up using them or do you pass them on? I’ve got so many I’m on the ban 😂 until I use up what I have.

I'm with you. I just got a Rockwell T2 for the season. I used to have a Parker TTO and managed to break it, so this was the replacement. I found the TTO action on this razor very stiff and mushy feeling. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it is getting better. Does it seem as mushy to you? I also didn't care to much for the Rockwell blades, but I am getting a very nice shave with Personna blades. One thing I am not yet used to is figuring out the proper angle for the up stroke. Luckily it really does a good job on the down stroke. What is your experience?
Ken…it’s the blade. Rockwell blades are not so good. Use one of your favorites and you can go higher than setting 2…with good results. That was my experience. I have a love affair with Rockwell razors…..their blades…not so much.
Rockwell razors are well worth the money. Finish, fit, function always perform well

You can find a vintage Gillette adjustable for much cheaper and it probably gets just as good of a shave lol

It took me a while to dial in the 2nd pass or 3rd pass. I agree about those blades.
