good question, i never successfully got the orange manzano to fruit but then again i didnt give it that much attention at the time. the yellow manzano is the same way. your going to have to bring it in for the winter an the next year it will fruit like crazy! hope that helps! : )
@@bentgenetics8623 I’ve been trying for a while. I finally found out the the Manzano chiles at my grocery store are irradiated. I kept trying anyway and finally have ONE seedling. It’s taken me over a year.

: )
How do I sprout it?
Do the Manzano orange take longer to bear fruit? My plant looks good, but only has about 3 or 4 blooms, which are purple...but no fruit yet...

Just bought some of these to make hot sauce, they have a nice sweet taste and spicy. They look like apples.
you brought them fresh from the store?
@@HeirloomReviews yes, I read that they are rare, si I saved all the seeds. Maybe I can get some to grow.

@@HeirloomReviews I live in San Diego and there are a number of stores (mostly In the barrio) that sell these fresh.
lovely and sweet!
I hope you cultivated that mutation. Imagine a Cup leafed variety of Manzanos, people would eat that up, even if they don't eat the peppers.
