It happens when you stand like that. Soldiers in long ceremonies and can't move, your feet start to numb out and circulation in the legs start affecting you cause sometimes the knees lock. You learn to deal with it by shifting weight in your feet and breathing exercises. Big ups to him got being there for hours. I've seen dudes pass out for just doing 30 minutes locked in that position.

Look at the kings guard obviously he is having a meltdown to the untrained eye they see nothing. He’s talking and has facial expressions someone or something has made him lose all military bearing. People do not understand how hard it is to just stand there and put up with idiots all day. Why do you think soldiers are so nice to the kids? One it’s a relief to deal with kids other than adults and two they’re planting the seeds of respect that will ultimately benefit future soldiers in one way or the other.
The Royal British Legion's long-held estimate is that somewhere between 3 and 6 per cent of homeless people have an armed forces background, but there are concerns that some homeless veterans are rendered “invisible” by the way statistics are collected. Along with veterans who have mental health or substance abuse problems, veterans with few financial assets or who don't have family members they can turn to for support may find themselves on the street. If you can get help when you come back you can risk your life for our failing country or else you’re going to have to end up homeless because the country doesn’t care about you 🤷♂️.

People need to realise these soldiers are the same men who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq etc. they perform these ceremonial duties in addition to being combat soldiers. They’re not a joke, they’re not a gimmick.
They are on duty 24-48 hours. They have sentry duty (what you're looking at) 2 hours on 4 hours off. If you can't stand for 2 hours then take a 4 hour break you probably should seek medical attention. People stand at registers for 8 hours a day every day.

But the guards at the tomb are allowed to correct the public when they step out of line and become a** wipes. The Royal guards aren't allowed to respond in any way.
They are allowed to move and you can see them doing this every so often. I think it's limited to 15 steps every 20 minutes or something like that. I'm sure someone will be more knowledgeable than me about exactly what's allowed. He doesn't look very well!

As an American, we are certainly full of our own military traditions that can seem to make no sense but once you take a moment to appreciate the history of every movement, every portion of the uniform, and or his acceptance of the duty and his relief of duty. He doesn't look like he is coping well though and could even be his first shift on guard duty ? 🤷🏼♀️ It's not easy getting up at 4, going on exercise and then kit and bunk inspection, then standing as still as physically possible for hours, then food and kip if you're lucky, then exercise and whatever else they got for you to do before bed.

I remember standing for extended periods of time and it can be tough.
And for near the minimum wage.
It sucked.
I have nothing but highly respect for those guards, they are people just like us, they can be broken like the rest of us. God bless them too.
Same man its really cool
Looks as though they looked out for the youngster. Straightened his appearance looked him in his eyes. Then gave him some needed words of strength and encouragement.
People helping people it’s what’s it’s all about.
Helping him do one of the most worthless weird ritualistic jobs ever.

Well said. It's ceremonial to be sure but it stands for more than a weird ritual. Not saying it's not a weird ritual. As an American, we are certainly full of our own military traditions that can seem to make no sense but once you take a moment to appreciate the history of every movement, every portion of the uniform, and or his acceptance of the duty and his relief of duty. One begins to feel a bit more weight of past souls giving to the ideal. Congratulations on a wonderful military tradition while not imposing said tradition on the public. Good on ya'll.
@@sethspot1it's weird asf to stand still for hours for no reason bro. Man's is clearly thirsty and be cant even drink some water. Thats messed up
I tied my cadet sergeant to his bed with bungee ropes as a joke, and the whole platoon and myself had to stand on parade for 4 hours with out moving a muscle for a punishment. If one of us moved they added a extra 30 minutes. It’s pure discomfort and your mind starts crumbling after a few hours. Running 10 miles with your full gear on is golden compared to standing for hours on end.
I've never been in the military, so i can't say if your sergeant just had a lousy sense of humor (?) or if you were committing what us civilians call a "sex crime", but fyi on the civvie side you get a lot worse punishment than a bit of standing or running, its called prison (you might know it as the brig?)...so you may want to knock it off when you inevitability end up back on the side of the masses who can't just duke it out w AK's on a level playing field, but:
💯 I thank you for your service, regardless; it is sacrifices by people like you that make this country great, and keep us safe from foreign threat: if no one has told you yet today, I appreciate you 🤝 🫡
("it" behavior referring to any sort of kidnapping, false imprisonment, assault and/or battery of any degree, riding roughshod over any "no means no" boundaries = accusing someone of not being able to take a joke falls flat when you are the only one laughing)...
...and if none of this applies to you and you are a just a gentle soul with a wink wink sense of humor, so much the better for humankind, my good sir! hopefully this bit of advice, while not applicable to you, will find its intended audience by happenstance some future day, and inspire a change of attitude or behavior for the better, if one has a mind to read what is arguably an off-topic novella in a youtube comment section...
... until then, namaste 🙏 👍✌️👨✈️💂🏼♂️🙋♀️ and good day 🌄
That's fucked
@@cleanserene6330very well read/said I agree 💯 with the genuineness of my appreciation for your service as well 🙏🏾

Blood pools up.
I pace back and forth on a long shift if I can't sit like when I was working at a warehouse.
God bless these amazing human beings❤❤
Something happened! Otherwise the guards keep their composure 100%! They are very well trained and do honorable work! ❤
What is honorable in any of that rofl
@@markkomarov4817 of with your head lol
Respect,u can tell they were talking to each other about whatever happened
He is either mad bc someone came to close or touched him (which would also be a reason why they closed that area and why they fixed his helmet) or its the heat of the summer paired with the thick coat and all that clothing. Most people dont understand how hard it is to stand and walk around in the heat with all that on.
Military professionnel who work for the queen have full right to touch the guard as long as there helping them/there Horse
Mas eles foram treinados para isso. Se não está bom, pede pra sair.
@@millearaujo5986being trained doesn’t mean it isn’t hard. 🙄
@@jackthehat6454I think they were referring to a civilian touching them, not another guard.
They don't wear the long coat in the summer lol😅
The chain is not to keep out tourists, its to contain the guard cause he’s damn pissed
So gentle the way the soldier put the horse hair straight on the helmet of his fellow guard. They all need protecting from the ones who go to torment them 🚧
He looks super pissed off like he’s venting to the officer about why he’s mad. I wanna know what happen
This guards since of respect for his country is commendable and he is a credit to his homeland.
@abiA5 said that it's because tourists were being utterly disrespectful, and the officer and soldier stepped in to offer support and to make the tourists leave❤
Mad respect for these soldiers ❤❤❤
Saudações aqui do país Brazil seja muito feliz 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wish I was half the man it takes to become that highly esteemed of a soldier. These guys are the epitome of self control
bruh he's just standing there, with ceremonial equipment, he's a spectacle.
Full respect to these guys.
I cant understand that there are people not understand how much discipline it takes to stand there and dont move in the same position. Real soldiers !! Much respect !!🫡
Meh. Street artists who perform a statue do it better.
@@yozhhhhreal
Lmao. Really, a real soldier to you is a person who can stand still for hours on?😂😂😂
Real soldiers don’t stand still.
RESPECT! Make a good stressed job. Thats the army!
