Ronaldinho ON HIS DAY was absolutely the best player ever, you talk to the people who watch Barcelona week in week out they’ll tell you his better than Messi it’s just Messi is a much better professional. There is a way to stop Messi and to stop Ronaldo but when Ronaldinho was at his best, it was literally impossible. No one looks as natural with the ball as he did, the balls was literally an extension of his body. I have never seen a player, nor will I with that much talent.

In many cases they simply don't have the talent that their fathers had. Next to that, which is also very important... they are RICH. They don't have any hunger to reach the top to secure their futures and to take care of their families. They already have their dads dropping stacks of cash.

Same would most likely happen to a Messi/Ronaldo/Ronaldinho/Zidane jr. Zidane has a son that plays in the Spanish third tier. He really never reached close to his fathers potential. He's 27 now.
Nah. They usually do really well. But you can't expect them to reach the top of the top. Of millions (or billions) of football players there are only about a couple thousand are playing in the 4 biggest leagues.

People assume well its Messi's son so he'll be Messi part 2, but that's our selfish tendencies as humans wanting to stay on the high as long as possible, and when these stars eventually retire, we expect the kids to take up the mantle and keep playing well. And worse yet, we expect them to not only play well, but also play exactly like their parents.
It's the biggest con of being a star and star's child. They aren't seen as humans. Whatever the parents do, child is expected to do, like it's a circus.. Oh and most important of all, these kids all have a second parent.. A second parent who is an individual with individual traits and skills to pass down to said child. But no one takes that into consideration.

This is João de Assis Moreira, son of the one and only Ronaldinho. He is only 16 and often plays with players above his age range. Those guys are literally one of a kind. History won't repeat itself just because of their genetics being passed down. Just like all the other all time greats, era, competitiveness and individual drive are the qualities of a star. Doesn't matter what you inherit. You still have to work. Being a stars child is probably the worst thing to happen to the kids because they will live in their parent's shadows and even when they do good, it won't be good enough or "as good as their dad".

@vincent zinganto van dijk would of course cut it. Maybe the guys nowadays don't get as much recognition because it's harder and the game is quicker. Terry wouldn't have the pace to play a high line and that was proven when villa's boas tried it with chelsea. Cannavaro was not great at real madrid also with their more attacking style. From what I've observed, he'll do well either as a centre forward or a central midfielder. He doesn't have much pace, but he's very strong, skillfull and has great ball control. However, he may need to fine tune and refine his passing skills. Ronaldinho Jnr has great potentials. I look forward to seeing him shine.
