When I first bought and used a rotary cutter I got lots of knicks and minor cuts- but now I’m better at it and rarely cut myself. It’s like learning to chop food with a sharp knife, you will learn.
Thank you Pam! I am a new subscriber. I haven't made one of these in 2 years. I had to find a tutorial for a refresher. Thank you for being so clear in your directions. Super cute cozies.
thank you so much for sharing!! I just love on how easy and simple and not so much blah blah and no action. I have searching for awhile on how to make one of these. thank you again!
This is so helpful. Thank you! I’ll be making these to go along with bowl koozies I’ve made for my daughter and her husband for Christmas. I love your blog and your channel! ❤️😍I look forward to more! Have a wonderful evening! ☺️
Bonnie, you are so welcome! I love making these. I’m also gonna make a pattern for a Starbucks Frappuccino bottle. I like to save them and reuse as individual bottles of tea and lemonade.
I don't have a pattern, but rather provide a tutorial on how to create your own pattern. Here's a link to the video tutorial: ruclips.net/video/ZtshwNeKzDU/видео.htmlsi=ZqLonXxLqepfY464
The idea is that you can make a sleeve for any size cup. You can measure your cup, but I found the easiest thing to do is to wrap the paper around the cup. You'll be creating your pattern and obtaining your measurements all in one step.
@@TheBirchCottage Thank you. I've been making bowl cosies and will make a few with the leftover scraps of fabric. I wonder how they would go as fancy stubby holders for the ladies? Lol
Hi, Barbara. There isn’t a pattern to print out. But you can find instructions on how to make your own pattern here: www.thebirchcottage.com/custom-coffee-cup-sleeve/ And you will find the video here: ruclips.net/video/ZtshwNeKzDU/видео.html
Hi, Joni! Although I haven’t created a printable pattern to share, I did create a video that shows you how to create your very own pattern. You can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/ZtshwNeKzDU/видео.html And please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!
Hi there I found you on etsy and bought it. Thank you so much for everything and for responding to my message, I don't sew so this is my first time wish me luck. So thanks again Joni
I don’t have a template you can download, but I do show you how to create your own. Here’s the video tutorial: ruclips.net/video/ZtshwNeKzDU/видео.html and here’s the written tutorial: www.thebirchcottage.com/custom-coffee-cup-sleeve/. Hope this helps!
You could add a tag or label in any of the seams. Or sew a label directly onto the front of the sleeve. Maybe place it about 1/2" from the raw bottom edge. That would keep the label away from the seam and the top stitching. Hope this helps!
Thanks for pointing out how important safety is. You really don’t want to ever cut towards your hand. I admit it was a little awkward as I was working around camera equipment. Thanks, again!

Thank you for the video. I was looking for a cup sleeve without using velcro. I just wish I didn't have to fuss with measuring a cup.
I hear you! I will keep that in mind for future videos. Good luck!!

Great video efficient and great tips! I was worried about how you stitch around a circle that small but I see it’s not so hard!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!!

You are so welcome!
❤ love this video
Where do I get the pattern? Or can you give the the dimensions?
I created a video showing how to make your own custom pattern.

This is a great tutorial! What size do you make for the smaller coffee cup sleeve?
I have a separate video that shows you how to make your own pattern: amzn.to/4hPLnvr
Where can I find the pattern at

Where do you get the pattern
You can learn how to make your own pattern in the following video tutorial:
ruclips.net/video/ZtshwNeKzDU/видео.htmlsi=PUebgwE7fenP9zqT
Fabric glue could be used inside the fold at the bottom. Hot iron will help glue to dry.
Amelia, that’s a great idea! You can also use fabric tape!
Fabric tape use is at the bottom of my list for adhering seam allowance. White glue and hot iron is my go to aid.
@@ameliathompson3751 I totally agree. Thanks for sharing!!
How to make a pattern for any cup would be helpful
Marie, you could watch this video on How to Make a Pattern for a Coffee Cup Sleeve: ruclips.net/video/ZtshwNeKzDU/видео.html
I love this idea but you don't give measurements for template. Do we just figure it out by wrapping paper around a cup?

What kind of batting did you use?
Hi, Jennie. I used fusible fleece for the batting/interfacing.
Is there a template?
I don’t have a template you can download, but I do show you how to create your own. Here’s the video tutorial: ruclips.net/video/ZtshwNeKzDU/видео.html and here’s the written tutorial: www.thebirchcottage.com/custom-coffee-cup-sleeve/. Hope this helps!
Do you have any suggestions for placement of a branding tag/label?
You could add a tag or label in any of the seams. Or sew a label directly onto the front of the sleeve. Maybe place it about 1/2" from the raw bottom edge. That would keep the label away from the seam and the top stitching. Hope this helps!
Do you add bottoms and if so how to?
No, there is not a bottom to the sleeve.
How did you measure to make the pattern?
I have a video tutorial that shows you how to do exactly that. You'll find it here: ruclips.net/video/ZtshwNeKzDU/видео.html
What size measurements?
I have a separate video that shows you how to make your own pattern. I hope this helps!

Really unsafe cutting technique. Don’t do it this way beginners. The idea for the cozy is good though
