I never attended a top fuel race event ever, but this is the first time I really heard on a video the engine explosion every time it launch... Awesome!
I liked everything about this video EXCEPT the lack of medium to close-up shots. I didn't really want to see the blue sky up above the bleachers, I just wanted to see more of the cars which were racing. Try zooming in a bit closer so that the cars will fill more of the frame.
Very nice footage. I envy you yanks with so many top fuel events. I went often to the 'nitro olympics', Hockenheimring Germany, the nearest top fuel event for me, a 460 km(285 miles) trip. Childsplay compairing to top fuel events in the USA. Wish I could go there once......money, money, money. Thanks from Twente, the Netherlands.
I grew up watching NHRA during a time when 1/4 mile was a priority and smoky burnouts was for men with real balls. What I'm seeing here is rather wussy and boring!
335 mph and closing in on 12,000 HP is nothing too wussy, in my opinion. However, I would love to see for the quarter mile, long smokey burnouts, and throttle whacks to come back, but I don't think that's quite possible.
Man I can't agree more. I used to be on the track as a pro photographer and the nitro fumes and burnouts going down the track was awesome. Look up my blog in a week and I'll post some pics that will make you cry. cheers litestuf.blogspot.com
Awesome job on the video. Thank you so much for the summary after each race.
I appreciate the feedback! Glad you liked it!

There's always one muppet who insists on standing up right in front of you.
Great job. I love watching these with the headphones turned all the way up.
Thank you! It definitely sounds good!
Top fuel noise has got to be one of the coolest sounds in the world!
Couldn't agree more!
I love the sound of exploding nitro in the morning!

Too bad you couldn't move the camera further away. That way we wouldn't see the cars at all. Don't take videos from the cheap seats.
wtf!
Hopefully NHRA get bought buy new owners. This 1000ft crap sucks!
