The final game with the plates was one he did in 1972 (he mentioned it here), that was so much fun to watch, it must have been even more fun to take part in! You were very unlucky to lose, you were pretty good at cup juggling! 😄

Even up to the mid 90’s entertainment shows like the GG was worth watching second time round with Brucie🙏🙏 and Rosemary.
When the BBC were at the top of their game. Sadly not now.
I remember watching the GG as a kid back first time round in the early 70’s with my parents.

For the second series of the reboot, it was moved back to Saturday nights, and remained there for two years. In 1993 it returned back to Friday nights and then moved back to Saturday nights in 1994 when Bruce had a row with the BBC over salary and left again for ITV in early 1995. With Davidson hosting it, it returned to Saturday nights in 1995.

Hello David - yes this is from my own 30 year old VHS tape that I've managed to salvage. I am in this show (somewhat younger !!) - It was filmed in London on Tues 2nd October 1990 and aired on the Friday 5th. I remember it like it was yesterday - amazing experience !

Yes I know • but only managed to rescue it off an old VHS and this was the only option. Just glad I rescued it in time as the tape was badly degenerating !
