Kim is sitting out there laughing at her and her threats. There is a straightforward process for making self-representation determinations - she should have done that last year and revoked it then.

That's true, but that also means he can't claim the revocation of his self-representation was done without cause. The judge gave him numerous warnings which Kim refused to heed. So his appeal of that issue will go nowhere.

    Dear Judge Leavitt,
I'm not a resident of Nevada, nor have I ever been. I'm also not a lawyer. However, I'm absolutely flabbergasted at how many "second chances" you and your fellow judges have given Kim Blandino over the years. The "man" (I think of him more as a petulant little child trapped in a senior citizen's body) is a walking, talking "contempt of court" charge. And yet...the videos pretty much show the legal system coddling him.
Because of Blandino's petulance, he has wasted the court's time for one hour, and the net result? "Somebody, please tell Mr. Blandino not to do that again...or next time, we'll do something."
    Odds are...you won't.

His self representation has been a joke from the beginning,he clearly is not able to see he is hurting himself and his family. Is there a judge left that Mr Blandino feels competent to hear his case and get it over with? Is this a game he plays for attention, I believe that is what is behind the whole case, a little man with a Napoleon complex!

Your Honor, I can only draw two possible conclusions based on multiple viewings of your various interactions with Mr. Blandino. Either 1) you are utterly intimidated by Mr. Blandino and as such are convinced any judicial action you initiate will result in your removal from the bench or similar punitive action, or 2) you lack the strength of conviction and internal fortitude to make the necessary decisions that are appropriate and support the judicial process….. in either case, I declare a vote of no-confidence in your ability to ably and competently adjudicate a criminal proceeding. If I lived in your jurisdiction I would proceed with garnering public support in an effort to have you removed from the bench. I’m sorry, but this is entirely on you.

Just yesterday the judge i appear before issued an arrest warrant for a defendant who has had continuances for over 6 months. His excuses have included not having rides to court, caring for sick relatives, and having covid in September. I was surprised that he was able to provide medical proof that he did have covid, I figured he had lied. But just before court today he emailed his attorney "another" proof of having covid, but it was obvious that he had used white-out over the date of the covid test, changing it from September to last week. Even his attorney didn't try to advance such a frivolous argument.

Blandino reminds me of Cheswick from "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest". He always seems like he's just on the verge of screaming " I want MY cigarettes - MY CIGARETTES!!!"
Once upon a time there was a much lower bar for having people like Mr. Blandino involuntarily committed to a mental institution than sending them to jail or prison. Now it seems to be a much higher one. Gone are the days when most municipalities had their own lunatic asylums for the violent contrarian and chronically deluded.
Clearly Mr. Blandino is a person who is incapable of integrating into society in any meaningful way and requires some form of warehousing. I don't know that I'd say he's a criminal, but he's clearly crazy. In addition he deliberately makes his condition a burden on society that it can ill afford. Allowing him to continuously create these farcical courtroom psychodramas is akin to giving a blow torch to an arsonist. At some point concerns over his rights have to yield to the rights of the rest of society.
Between Mr. Blandino and the rest of these sovcit crackpots that are turning our court system into a freak show, judges need to be given more latitude to commit people who deliberately act this insane and there needs to be more facilities for them to be put into. Nobody like the image of the old "pit and the pendulum" mental institutions; but, unfortunately, those institutions are clearly still necessary. The only thing worse than those old barbaric mental institutions, is having - obviously - crazy people running around on the street creating problems for law enforcement and the rest of the world.
