You all know that I love a fast food or chain restaurant taste test!!! But...I usually don't eat most of the items I taste test (unless of course I have ranked them in my top 5 menu items). Follow me while I take quite the journey through my routine snacks and meals.

If talking about your mom and food issues, helps you, then there's nothing wrong with that. Unleash here, it's fine, it might be the help/therapy you need, after such a hard year. Feel better :)
Thank you Cathleen. You all are always the kindest to me. I always feel like I want to put my best foot forward here (while also being honest) but some times its not so easy!
And that's fine, vent/cry, getting it out helps so much @@ErinRobinson
I never thought of using apple juice as the liquid for oatmeal! That's a great idea. 😍
It gives it more flavor! Feel more like a treat that way! You gotta try it
I just lost my mom a month ago unexpectedly and I can’t get into cooking or eating, I thought I was the only one who was like this but you made me feel better telling us how you are dealing with your loss.
It's so hard. I have experienced a lot of loss in my lifetime, but this has been something else. Trying to take it one meal at a time and not pressure myself to do too much
I'm so sorry you both lost your moms, but you have to keep eating, even just snacks. Doesn't have to be meals, eat a bag of honey mustard pretzels for dinner, like I did tonight-LOL
It has been a hard year here too. I recently lost my dad and I feel you on not wanting to cook (or clean or do anything) a lot of the time. Those Factor meals and drinks look tasty. Keep taking care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.
Sending you love. It's so very hard. Just taking it one moment and one day and one meal at a time
After a sressful day at college i am so relieved to see that you uploaded... no matter what it is i know it will make my day sm better ❤
Sending you love! I have been there! Tomorrow is always another day1!!!!
It's totally normal to have issues with eating and cooking after a loss. I lost my husband to suicidd almost 11 years ago. For the first few months, I only ate when someone put food in front of my and reminded me to eat. Luckily for me, my sisters were there to make sure I got enough nutrition. All of which is to say, be gentle and kind to yourself. You deserve that.
Oh, and feel better soon. ❤
Thank you for sharing and my heart aches hearing that. How long until eating/cooking/taking care of yourself feels more "normal"?
@ErinRobinson For me it was about 6 months, but I honestly think it's different for everybody. There's no wrong way to grieve. My therapist once said to me, "The grief mirrors the relationship," and I really think that's true. I also had a hard time reading for a long time... like, years. It was such a weird thing, but I've since met a lot of people who also had that issue.
Grief sucks. It's so hard. Do what you can and be patient with the rest.
Thank you Aimee. It's so wild how grief can just show up in the wildest places@@aimeeparrott9204
I avoided it for 3 years but the rona finally got me via my toddlers bringing my father snacks and drinks in the rehab hospital. My Dad got a real bad infection that went septic and because he was bedridden for so long he has to retrain his legs to carry his weight. The medicine is awful and the only food that tastes good right now is the "feta" pasta but I use the cheese spread like you recommended. I also add frozen peas, bacon, artichoke hearts and extra cheese/milk if it's dry. I hope you just have a 24 hour bug and feel better soon.
Ugh, this sounds horrible. I am so sorry about your dad. That is tough. I do think it was Covid but I am already feeling better. Grateful!
Hope you get better soon Erin!!!
TY! I am already feeling much better!!!
Girl, I just celebrated 10 years with my mom gone (9/23) and I totally understand what you're going through, we're here to listen and help any way we can! 💜
Sending you love Crystal. It's so hard. Did you find yourself literally not wanting to eat or just eating the worst things imaginable for you?
@@ErinRobinson Yes, Absolutely. I did start to get better... but then I lost my Father in November of '21 and I have not been the same since. They were high school sweethearts and my father didn't even date after my mom's passing -- so I do take solace in the fact they're back together, but I just can't believe they're both gone.
Food for me is an afterthought. I get Home Chef and cook it for my husband - I end up with the simplest thing for myself when I do decide to eat. I really feel you in video - and I'm so sorry you're going through this.
I'm going to keep you in my thoughts and my prayers for strength. Always. ❤️
Oh my goodness. My heart just aches reading this. It's so wild to me that we all end up losing the people we love the most in this life. I feel like for so long we live like they will always be around and we don't realize our life changes forever once they're gone. I tell my husband I am ready to go home anytime it's my time because I have more of my favorite people there than I do here @@crystalbarfoot
@@ErinRobinson Yes! Your words speak so much truth. You never can imagine life without a parent- it's just not something possible- and when it happens, well, it just seems so surreal. I keep going because my husband and daughter need me, but it's hard. I will continue praying for strength, peace and comfort for you. I truly appreciate your 'realness' through your grieving process- honestly, I feel less alone somehow. ❤️
NGL drinking out of jars brings out a very simple, nuanced joy. You don't have to... but you know you want to. (Especially a Ball jar, it's a wrap.) I graze throughout the day and I'll make things like homemade bread and homemade soup like this creamy spinach and kale soup for lunch, usually something protein packed for dinner. Breakfast can't start without coffee though, especially cold brew, so I'm with you there.
But have you tried your cold brew IN YOUR JARS?! It hits differently
@@ErinRobinson it really does! Like in a tall, wide mouthed jar too with a straw; it's just better LOL
I also feel like it stays colder, longer? Or is that just in my head?@@TreyMcDonaldAnimator
@@ErinRobinsonNo it definitely does! I can back this up; made cold brew, I had to run out for about 15 minutes, come back, and the sucker was still frosty cold with condensation coating the outside. It's perfect.
big hugs to you, Erin 💗 grief is such a weird but consuming thing. I lost two of my cousins at a young age and two grandparents in the same year while I was finishing school and it was horrendous. I can’t even imagine the pain of losing a parent. any step you can take to continue to take care of yourself, even if that means a convenience meal or brownie bites every day, is a good step. it never gets easier without them; there is no “moving on.” whatever you have to do to get through that is the right choice for you.
a daily brownie bite does wonders for your happiness, I can confirm!!! Thank you for sharing and for this thoughtful comment!!
I’ve been hoping you would make a video like this! I’m on an autoimmune journey right now and was hoping to get some inspo on what kind of foods you eat on a day to day basis. I might have to try out factor!
Yah, I'm trying to limit coffee to just a cup a day and at least 30 mins to 2 hours after I eat breakfast. Even if I buy a latte, I will only drink half of it and put it in the fridge for the next day. Also, mostly cutting out alcohol has been a big deal. I still have a drink every once in a while but now that I don't drink as much, when I do I feel my joints ache within an hour of drinking. Also, trying to add more protein...that's the hardest one for me
Hey friend!!!! Long time. College has been colleging. Now time to binge all the videos.
I hated college so much, so I GET IT!!!!!
Take care Erin. Yes more vlogs. ❤
TY! I feel like they are more fun to "shoot" but aren't always the most organized lol
My Dad died two and a half years ago the same day I gave birth to my son. I was with him for hours everyday in the hospice leading up to his death and the one day I wasn't there he passed. My three siblings were with him so he was not definitely not on his own. Honestly I was just a mess afterwards and felt completely overwhelmed with this new baby, an older child and thankfully an amazing husband. At times I was hysterical with grief and I cried everyday. I really wasn't getting any better so at three months I went to my doctor and he put me on a low dose of anti-depressants but I had to come back every month to renew the prescription so he could keep an eye on me. Honestly it was the best decision for me and I tapered off after three months. I was so overwhelmed, angry and sad that I couldn't move even the tiniest bit forward. I am the worst person for asking for help so for me to do that was big. Also having a professional acknowledge your struggle is huge. He was so kind to me and sympathetic so I felt I wasn't feeling sorry for myself and it was a big deal. My public health nurses also helped. Anyway sorry for the essay. I just wanted to explain how much better I am now after being in a really dark place. It takes time so be kind to yourself and accept help. The anger dissipated and I was able to accept what happened and now I'm just happy when I think of him and my Mam who passed 11 years ago. I really hope you find peace and the family you and your husband long for. Your baby will be so loved and cherished.
Sending you all my love and support, I am so sad that you have had to endure such an incredibly difficult and har year, your absolute perseverance through all you have been through is extremely admirable and inspiring.
It takes an incredibly huge amount of mental and physical energy, and the toll using and spending all that energy takes on the mind and body, is why colds and viruses often becomes very easy to catch, because your storage of restored fighter-energy has already been drained.
I have become extremely dependent on anything that is anti inflammatory, so things like honey and tea with turmeric and cinnamon (I can personally recommend one from Hampstead, called Turmeric & Cinnamon), and hot/warm unsweetened pomegranate juice with a stick of cinnamon and a teaspoon of honey, I swear it have helped my immune system so much.
Thank you for the recs! I always love trying new things, especially if they're anti-inflammatory because my immune system doesn't like to behave even when I am not going through something that's taxing on me emotionally!!!!
Hope you’re feeling better!! Apple cider vinegar about a tablespoon 2 tablespoons raw honey half a lemon squeezed. Add 4-6oz warm water ..
I am feeling better!!!! Gosh, I dream of the day I can drink apple cider vinegar!!! It makes me heave!
@@ErinRobinson most people do ! But if you use a little less of it and more honey and lemon or just lemon and honey works ok . I’m glad you feel better though 😁🤍
Even the slightest whiff and it makes me gag! I could tolerate the apple cider vinegar gummies at one point but even those were cuspy for me@@carriesessum2505

Honestly, this was sucha cool video idea. I often wondered what you actually eat, since you do all these food rankings, I don't understand how you stay so fit and skinny ahah. This was very nice and unexpected and I'm so here for it!!❤❤
I am certainly not as fit as I used to be, but I try and eat somewhat healthy when I can!! My videos are my cheat days!!!
I am with you on the fun ice cube shapes. I have ones with large skulls, small skulls and bears so far! I do love your hair!! The colour suits you so well, wish i could get mine to look that great. Getting older sucks. LOL
After reading this comment I realize that I need to step up my ice cube game! Those sound so fun!!! And as you know, the red color changes almost every time! I've come to love all the different shades of it because I know it changes color every time I wash it
I've gotten a lot of good recommendations for Factor but have been reluctant to try it in case I like it too much. haha I don't think I could afford it on a recurring basis. Hope you feel better already, Erin!
I hear you. It's good to know it's out there in case you need it. Like I mentioned, when you're going through a hard season its actually kind of great/worth it.
Be well Erin ❤❤🤞🙏

I feel like we are losing the allure that you just gorge yourself on fast food for our enjoyment 😂 Have a fabulous day Erin 😃
Fast food is my cheat days! Not my everyday! I know people think that I am always in a drive thru lol!
Lol at my depressed self eating a factor meal & watching this 😂🤣💀🥰 Definitely gonna try making oatmeal with apple juice! Such a genius move!! 🙌🏾🍏
I knew I liked you all! We are the same!!! Factor really saved me this week!!
I also struggle with eating food in the morning. I drink something *hours* before I eat. Resolving food issues (or any other issue) takes baby steps so whenever you feel down on yourself, remember the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. ❤❤❤
Also I just bought a coffee maker so I’m stepping up my coffee game. 😂😂😂
Baby steps are all I can do these days! I actually have to force myself, so I am hoping I can create some better habits so that I don't feel like it's a massive emotional lift every morning
I completely understand what you mean when you said that when you’re going through something, it’s hard to get yourself together. It’s like the simplest tasks, that truly don’t take that long to do, end up multiplying over months. Suddenly, I’m living in filth and running out of things to wear because laundry is such a daunting thing to me. I’m definitely gonna have to look into factor because my diet is horrible. I wake up around 7-8 every day and I wait until 3pm to eat anything and when i do my stomach feels awful. Back on August 1st of this year, I found out that I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks and decided going the natural way with waiting for everything to pass was best for me. With my first pregnancy ever and the fact that I was pregnant with twins I was already a little stressed and nervous, but I was not planning for the worst. It’s like I have no energy or motivation to clean my house, let alone cook for me and my boyfriend. And don’t get me wrong, during all this that has happened to me my boyfriend has been nothing short of supportive and stepping up to the plate the best way he knew how. I mean the man hasn’t ever had to keep a house together basically on his own but because I was a depressed potato on the couch or in bed, he did what he could for me to make me happy and comfortable. This past week I have felt more at peace somehow and I’ve finally been crossing things off my horrific to-do list. Even while I’m crossing things off, I’m still not consistent. I’ll start something and get overwhelmed and leave it for tomorrows day problem. But anyways this was just a long drawn out spill all to say that I’ll be checking factor out lmao. Also, I’m so so so sorry you are having to go through such a difficult situation with your mom. I’m not sure what I would do without mine, so I couldn’t imagine the great loss you’re feeling. I’m sending good vibes and positive thoughts to you girl💞
I know I am a few months late to this...but I hope things have been better for you in the new year??
I feel like this is the more natural toned down real erin! Loved this video. Sorry for your hardships. 😢
Yah! This is me when I am not on a food mission. Takes a lot of amping up to eat everything on the Cheesecake Factory menu!!!!!
Cool Cool. When I get home I'm gonna watch the crap out of this!!!
You're the best, Jake!!
You had me at hello! I love food reviews & cooking videos and saw your title and clicked on it. I rarely leave comments but felt the need. I’m SO sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. My heart goes out to you!
I miss my mom, too. She was hospitalized with pneumonia and then had a stroke on 12/30/22 and she can no longer talk or move. I used to talk to her multi times a day but now she can’t talk anymore. I live far from her and am able to FaceTime with her at her facility but she just cries when she sees me and it’s really hard. Visiting her in a few weeks to hold her hands and hug her.
I’ve lost my desire to cook and and try new recipes but I really appreciate your videos and enjoy you content.
Oh my goodness, my heart hurts reading this. I am so sorry about your sweet mama. I will keep you both in my prayers, as I am sure that is an ongoing journey. Please give her an extra hug for me. And yes...I also can barely make it into the kitchen to cook these days
I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time Erin, and everyone else who has lost a loved one. I unfortunately understand the fact that grief can either take your appetite completely or make you crave things that are horrible for you. Sending you all love ❤ Edit: I forgot to add, I hope you feel better, Erin! I've had the rona twice now, and it was horrible. I hope you don't have it again. ❤
Thank you for this thoughtful comment! Grief is wild and losing a parent is a very different kind of loss
@@ErinRobinson grief definitely is crazy. I'm sorry, I know it's hard. I lost my grandma in 2017, and she was more like a mom to me than anyone else I had, so on a different level, I can kind of understand. I know it's not the same, though. You are a beautiful, sweet, and joyful person to watch and you bring so many people so much happiness through your work, myself included. I know your mom sees your impact and is so proud of you. ❤️
This is such a thoughtful response. Sorry about your sweet grandma. I lost mine shortly before that and he was also like a mom to me, so I know that pain as well sadly. I just have to remember I will see them again and try and hang on to as much of their memory as I can@@foggyfrogg
Here for this 🎉
Yay! TY for being here!
Similar, or not😁... a boiled egg (occasionally scrambled/fried) 1/2 a bagel (with cream cheese of course) or 1/2 an english muffin (w/butter 😋) and a banana or some fruit is my start! Lunch probably more fruit, and a cookie or two, and, Spaghetti was my dinner tonight. Dinner out on occasion. Chocolate chocolate chip ice cream my "go to" for dessert. Kinda failed in the sweets department though😂🤦🏻 As always, a great video Erin 👏🏻👏🏻
I love this menu! Honestly, it feels delicious and balanced even with the sweets!!!

Also, Erin... a really good way of getting your protein intake, is to buy frozen egg whites and just putting those in your protein shake or a smoothie! That's how I eat/drink my breakfast every morning! No cooking necessary and it's just egg whites which are the part of the egg that's high in protein! 😊
What do you put in your smoothie?
@ErinRobinson oh literally just almond milk, protein powder, coffee, ice, egg whites and water! All good to go!
This sounded good until egg whites! Does that taste good!!?!@@sunny5ma
@ErinRobinson oh, you can't taste the egg whites. They're just there for thickness and extra protein, you can just not put them in if you don't want to. I put in a bit more coffee, so that's all you can taste really 🥰
Keep up the good work girlfriend! ❤
Thank you so much!
Oh no, feel better soon and take care of yourself. When I'm sick, I cut out sugar and coffee completely, gargle hydrogen peroxide, & take liposomal C every few hours. Also, a monolaurin/L-lysine combo supplement knocks out everything. So effective & quick. Highly recommend.
I've never heard of gargling hydrogen peroxide!!!

If you did get COVID again, I hope it was short-lived for you.
