Wargame: Red Dragon's Second Korean War Campaign... and goddamn am I scared looking at this massive map.. I don't know what to do, what to expect and what to fear yet.. well here goes nothing, hope you guys enjoy! (AND GIVE ME TIPS PLEASEEE!!! :D)

Welcome to Korea Sherman, where the Crazy Norths will overwhelm us with Artillery, tanks, IFVs, and infantry.We hope you have a good service life.
The North Koreans would have the advantage initially due to the surprise and speed of their incursion. However, the United States and its allies would be quick to divert naval and air assets to the region to suppress North Korean forces as they move farther south. It is also worth mentioning that the North Korean military would overextend its supply lines within days or weeks due to the blitzkrieg-like strategy they would most likely employ . This would leave them with a shortage of food, water, ammunition, spare parts, and most importantly fuel. In an ideal world, NATO forces would be able to sue the North Koreans for peace but it is more than likely that they would have to be forcibly removed from the country. It is debatable to whether tactical nukes would be deployed on North Korean soil if the situation became desperate enough, but let us all hope it never comes to that.

14:56 That was not very smart, whenever a Naval Ship in Wargame has "Radar Antenna Crippled" it means that it cannot defend itself against Anti-Ship missiles. I still loved the video but think you should have pounced on the chance with those Hornets, instead of lining them up first, you could have gotten a lot more hits.
finally. was about to stop watching youtube all together. Sherman you might spend a lot of time doing these videos and missing sleep. but it's not for nothing. these vids are the bomb. and I'm not trying to brown nose even though it totally seems it. but I'll never forget when you were doing the wargame campaign co-op and said "Dunked on those west germans so hard!" I about lost it laughing.

Holly shit. I haven't watched this channel absolute years. I thought Shermanator stopped making videos when he stopped uploading war thunder vids several years ago
Shermans strategy - - - play smart and keep youre stuff alive while targeting the most useful stuff the enemies have..
My strategy - - - spam the cheapest stuff you have and overrun the enemies..
Sherman is better at this than me.. .-.

2 Months ago on Mt. Narodnia campaign you said you were going to cry on this campaign. I expect at least 1 tear throughout this lets play ;). Glad you're finally ready to tackle this. Happy hunting and look for all the comments for tips on your strategy. Sherman, Kill em all!
+The Shermanator Also do all the per emptive attacks. It really does help. but make sure you pull back some of the units you need to hold the capitol because it can be held at the second line.

The Shermanator XD Happy hunting and remember Russian bias with ship health. Never send 1 ohp against an udaloy or the other big russian ship.

The Shermanator HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Well you have T-80's with multiple variant types heading your way early on if you can hold seoul you'll have a good position to launch your counter attack. also you get K1A1's eventually (korean version of the M1A1 but cheaper but like almost exact same stats)
This campaign is going to be hell. I look forward to seeing how you do considering the first mission always kicks my ass.
Stay defensive on land, both north and west, pull back to critical choke points if needed, invest defenses on Seoul. On sea however, cut off enemy on the north west end to save your enterprise and to secure eastern coast line, southern ports also have to be swiftly secure by naval forces to prevent enemy landing forces. Target of opportunity, Tachon and straight to Pyongyang once their invasion force advanced.
Between this and the co op videos with Davidson, this stuff is amazing

Man this mission is damn Hard for player who normally dont play any naval units at all.
You can push and then get back to Seul,defend there.N.Korean just attack you maybe one time and then push south.We you get more force,you can push from Seul and capture positions. Try to get K1 fast as possible

If you invade the North then the units you send will be wiped out, so send units you don't mind loosing, I found air superiority was key, the enemy can just swamp you on land before you can consolidate, invading dose delay them, but leaves you with less to defend with, its what I did.

Find a good defensive area on each map, but watch out for enemy air. Then, deploy Marines to Seoul.
For naval combat, I use a lot of F 18s.

Send one of your naval fleet to the left side. The N. Koreans are going to send 2 special helicopter units to take the airfield.

Crazy there aren't any submarines in this game, considering they'd be the most important part of a modern naval battle
I was surprised by that too. Given the way the design mechanics work, I would think they'd be difficult to detect and engage, but that would just mean adding torps in and onto some other units and depicting sonar. Subs are really just underwater missile launchers other than that. I do think that it might have led to player overload with the different kind of micro you'd need to do for the subs, ASW helos and sonobuoys. I think it would have been great for multiplayer though.
Yeah it's definitely one of those things that would really fuck things up in the vanilla version, but after a few patches would work out.
The lack of Blitzkierg games is.. agrevating..

I play this all the time, you need to take the offensive with the American Naval forces. You need to defeat the two Russian Naval detachments that are on the offensive, and then hold Seoul at all costs, and hold the northern most airstrip.

Maybe, I think, you should have just consolidated your forces on those 2 points and losses would have been less. I don't know just something that I would have done.
Put an Anti air and rifle battalion on the point just under daejon to counter the heli spam
get the intruders they will be more effective at killing ships than the super hornets.
Is Dangerous Waters the game you were thinking of? Its an old submarine warfare game but you can control the OHP as well as its helicopter.

Maibe you can send the japanese ships to the western sea to start a small attack on pyongyang if possible and use the stuff you have in the eastern to defend and reinforce stuff with planes and such..

yeah thx i have a look at both games.
The AI in Airland Battle is totally unfair. They have psychic soldiers who know where you are every time and always have the heaviest tanks to kick your ass. (You're welcome for the warning.)
