You guys are literally insane. I was searching for something specific to watch but I didn't know what it was, until I saw your video in my notifications, playing none other than CASUAL DECKS, DANG IT! Your timing is impeccable! And even freaking Edgar Markov, my first love?! I need to see you play more of these!
i really enjoed this kind of video. cEDH is so fun and fast in the way u put it, but with this "casual" it was even more fun to watch. I rly liked it guys^
I recently built a Xyris Deck. If your opponents don’t kill your commander right away every time, you can really pop off. Wicked fun deck to pilot. One of my recent favorite commanders by far.
I think our friends from Casually Competitive EDH could take some notes on YOUR definition of "casual". I just found your channel and I loved it, you look so smiley.
I know that your channel is primarily about cEDH, but due to your very clear casual rules and knowledge about the game these videos are absolutely amazing. I hope to see many more!
So I’m not a CEDH player. I just play high power commander but y’all are literally my favorite gameplay Channel and I love to see some of the manders I’m used to : )
Great content! Nice to see "high power" casual, which is what I generally play. I don't personally play cEdh in my playgroup, but I enjoy watching it and the sort of razor's edge decision making it requires to play :D
I love you guys , great fathers day gift - a new vid from playtowin and the bonus is no stupid fathers day gimmick along with it (I realise the post date is a coincidence) All the best from England!
I think these "conditional" games are great! might have some suggestions to more conditions since you guys have those "one colour, two colour, artifact etc" games : - price limitation / budget only - banned cards included - Commander 201x product but upgraded with x budget would love to see more fun stuff you guys do with the conditions keep up the content!!
The way I define casual commander is that it’s more degenerate than cedh but not as consistent. Infinite combos are allowed but it’s not an instant win condition like fish consultation. As long as it’s not super optimized with mana rocks and tier 1 competitive, I find it okay. I play Yarok and have drake bounce infinite mana and with things that make me draw my deck or kill everyone out I win the game. I also have xyris and win with wheels and Purphoros. Another deck that I have is tatyova with retreat to coralhelm and some bounce lands and walking atlas/ Sakura-Tribe Scout. Also, Kalamax with infinite copy spells making him big and one shooting everyone with burn spells like chandra’s ignition. For me, casual is more the way you get there vs the way you get there with cedh. So the only rule I would change is the infinite/combo and more flexible with the rocks
One thing I enjoy about watching you guys play more casually is that even though you don't have the super high power decks, you still have the good playstyle and threat assessment - one of the things I dislike about playing lower power commander is that the threat assessment is much poorer, and there's a lot more spite-playing, which ruins the game imo
@@titanlord2000 not really, granted I do play control, however I still like to have fun and enjoy casual commander, unless we're playing competitivly, in which case, I WILL Stifle your Turn 1 Fetch
Worth noting, it would cost you two mana each time to skullclamp one of your snakes, the equip ability targets and Kira affects you as well as your opponents, so Kira would counter the first equip trigger for each snake.
Just something I've noticed, it would be a lot easier to understand targets if you had name maybe on the screen. Not sure if that makes the screen to cluttered.
I don't know how good it would be in this Ghave necessarily but I've seen Teysa Karlov do some excellent things in a Ghave deck before. Giving all the tokens Vigilance and LIfelink can be pretty nice.
Does Skullclamp have to be double equipped to the snakes because Kira, Great Glass Spinner counters the first equip? Not sure how much it would have impacted the outcome of the game (likely none) but I was curious if that was the case.
www.moxfield.com/decks/QlZFVcQZWkGeQz1-GTQdrQ Hey Nate! This is my current Wanderer deck list. It’s changed since the last casual video but Ikoria made for some nice additions
Love Xyris. I dont do wheels in my personal deck because I'm playing casual and trying not to be become archenemy 😆 But I do have burn at the stake for some spice
Ghave player could have done the tokens into counters thing two times in two endsteps before of the turn he got eliminated to win more lifes and probably survive.
On the turn you played Twilight Prophet, you should have played captivating vampire. First it would pump your vamps so you could swing for more damage and you could steal your opponent's commander so he couldn't make so many snakes. I think when played right, the vampire deck would have won that game.
@@PlaytoWinMTG Oh so you pay subscription. I was hoping for something copyright free like Emerald Dream which you guys have used in other videos but oh well :)
Btw I know you want shorter videos for RUclips algorithms and so more people might click but just saying you don’t have to skip everything if you get what I mean we can hear some conversations and see some deck shuffling as well and not be upset that’s all I’m saying not hating cause your channel is amazing 2 of my fav commanders are in here (Ghave and Edgar)
Great game guys!!!! But it's not necessarily RUG that's so strong... Xyris as a Comander is simply bananas AND it's in ramp colors... I don't see him inferior to Nekusar tbh... sure, it doesn't ping immediately, but if you don't have that wipe in your hand, you're in for a LOOOOTTT of trouble....
I don't agree the "Rules 2", that make some deck like "Daretti, Scrap Savant" to slow. Mono-color decks should add mana rock as many as they want, except green.
Play a Voltron strategy and try and make it work in a competitive way. I some sometimes with with a highly tuned skullbriar deck. Even beat some cedh decks if it's a spicy staying hand
Your casual rules are so good! I think pact of negation shouldnt be banned since you have to pay 5 or lose. Ban mana drain instead? Also, mox diamond and chrome mox are much worse than sol ring...Unban those? Time of need, sylvan scrying and expedition map are all out too?
Rules: no unconditional tutors under 2 mana Literally turn 2 of first game someone casts Gamble ^^ I get that Gamble is a lot weaker than Vampiric and Demonic, but why not just say that you are not playing these 2?
I only discovered this channel a few days ago but I've already seen literally every video,,, loving the content guys!!
did the same few months ago^^ and i saw aaaa lots of channels playin edh. But this one rules!
I would love to see more like this. I love your normal videos, but cEDH decks kinda blend together after a while. Very nice change of pace
comment on point. I felt the same way!^^

Your casual games are somehow more entertaining than most of the cedh, but you also have the hands down best cedh gameplay on youtube. Thanks guys
I recently built a Xyris Deck. If your opponents don’t kill your commander right away every time, you can really pop off. Wicked fun deck to pilot. One of my recent favorite commanders by far.
Well, actually kira would counter the skullclamp equips too, so you'd have to pay 2 to equip it.
love seeing some good casual play from you guys, always enjoy these games!

love the video! the side bar at 8:00 was the best thing ever.
Can't exactly see if Tyler took Kira's tax into account when clamping his creatures. Equips are affected by the tax too
Yea I was about to make a note of that. I don't think he did.
ya this channel is great. I'm new to CEDH but these guys have everything I need.

I was wondering if y’all could use Teshar in one of your vids. Very underrated commander!
Best commander gameplay content on RUclips
Out here waiting for Sunday to get me some Play to Win content. Awesome stuff guys!!
You guys do the best commander gameplay videos since Game Knights
Very similar casual meta that made me fall in love with magic in the first place, keep up the great content :)
Always dishing out the best content! 10/10 Loving this channel!!
Great game. Hope you can do more (high powered) cassual games in the future. Love it!
Even when you're trying to play casual, you're still playing the top tier casual Commanders :P

I love that you upload the same day and use the same music as "how good was ____ actually" the pokemon series

Someone play Sen Triplets on a "Casual" Commander Episode, I've found them to be a fun commander to use at any level of play
Its great thry are more affordable now too!
You are that one guy at the table...
@@titanlord2000 not really, granted I do play control, however I still like to have fun and enjoy casual commander, unless we're playing competitivly, in which case, I WILL Stifle your Turn 1 Fetch

I agree with OP XD

Just something I've noticed, it would be a lot easier to understand targets if you had name maybe on the screen. Not sure if that makes the screen to cluttered.
Dang it missed this week as well. Next time I will comment first. Ps you guys make the best commander videos

Love your casual games so interesting

Awww. Pigley. Damn you all to hell -Krieger
PLEASE do more of these!!!
Excitement! Excitement! Excitement!
......
But Grave Pact, I've ALREADY lost the game.
Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
Awesome!
Hahaha yesss
Love the mind the gap shirt! XD
Thanks! London is hands down my favorite city I’ve been to
Realizing y’all added a rendition of battlefield theme and I love it
Does Skullclamp have to be double equipped to the snakes because Kira, Great Glass Spinner counters the first equip? Not sure how much it would have impacted the outcome of the game (likely none) but I was curious if that was the case.
That is exactly how Kira works, this is the first thing I noticed and they haven't.
Are the decklists for the last casual video anywhere? I am coincidentally building Maelstrom and Meren and all u guys’ decks are really good!
www.moxfield.com/decks/QlZFVcQZWkGeQz1-GTQdrQ
Hey Nate! This is my current Wanderer deck list. It’s changed since the last casual video but Ikoria made for some nice additions
@@CamToWin I just saw this now. Thanks!
When forerunner of the legion etb couldn't you have tutored a black vamp to the top of the deck?
@1:51 you know that's a real memory jar because of the warping, lol
Mine isn't warped at all actually now that I think about it.
Had did tyler keep over 18 cards in hand when he doesn't have a card that has no maximum hand size effect?
Any chance of getting Cam's list soon?
Is that a remix on the Battlefield theme at the start of the game?
Yes it is haha
Love Xyris. I dont do wheels in my personal deck because I'm playing casual and trying not to be become archenemy 😆 But I do have burn at the stake for some spice
Can you include Price lists?
Not my usual cup of tea, but I definitely want to try my hand at a casual Xyris deck now. GG my dudes!
Ghave player could have done the tokens into counters thing two times in two endsteps before of the turn he got eliminated to win more lifes and probably survive.
everytime he equipped his snakes with skullclamp he would have to equip twice because of kira
My thoughts exactly
Loving each episode, where do you guys get the background music from? I can't find any credits in the description.
Epidemic sound
On the turn you played Twilight Prophet, you should have played captivating vampire. First it would pump your vamps so you could swing for more damage and you could steal your opponent's commander so he couldn't make so many snakes. Check out our more recent videos
came for the games , stayed for the Archer Reference

With Kira out it would have countered the first equip ability on the skull clamp for each snake that was clamped!
Just realized that out your 2 casual games temur deck has won twice. So far temur deck is undefeated in casual on this channel.
I'd like to see Vannifar hulk vs Kinnan combo vs Zaxara freed vs Varolz hulk in cedh video one day. Love the video guys.
I don't agree the "Rules 2", that make some deck like "Daretti, Scrap Savant" to slow.
Mono-color decks should add mana rock as many as they want, except green.
Well thats why its for their playgroup. Its a template, you can make any of your own rules and stipulations if you don't agree
Good lord your casual rules sound like a dream holy shit lol
Love the outro!
At 12:27 you forgot about kira's ability
I love the more casual content just because you don't see Thoracle or the same commanders.
Where's Thantis Decklist?
6 minutes ago is what i like to see
I love your content!!! But where is game two and three?!?!?!?! I was soo disappointed when I realized there was just one game!!!
Play a Voltron strategy and try and make it work in a competitive way. I some sometimes with with a highly tuned skullbriar deck. Even beat some cedh decks if it's a spicy staying hand

What exactly do you mean by "unconditional tutors"?
Like gamble is conditional because it has a condition associated with it , same with diabolic intent - at least how I understand it?
Pretty much Demonic Tutor, Mystical tutor, vampiric, enlightened, wordly, basically the op tutors that are really cheap and have no downside
Did he forget about Kira countering the first equip for each skullclam on the snake tokens?
Why is there never a phyrexian altar in any Xyris deck I see get played
It's stupid since it helps keep you going and wheeling just like a earthcraft
I dont play Vampire Nocturnus in Edgar as its just too much of a gamble on revealing a black card in a 3 colour deck.
Please make more content like this one
No high power tutors? No tutoring for combos? And one of you is playing ghave?
I... I need to lie down
Idk why, but I always root for Cameron! xD
more of this pls :D
the equip cost of skull clamp would have doubled because of kira
This is a Typical Play to Play win with. C-Rift.
Nice man's!
it's doesn't matter but the first skullclamp equip on a creature is always countered by kira xD so Tyler Should pay always 2 mana for equip it
Seeing xyris in action I feel like I want to build the deck myself.
I had to go back on the video to confirm the rules after i saw gamble being cast.
"That'll do pig" is from Charlotte's Web no?
ruclips.net/video/rjQtzV9IZ0Q/видео.html
I really want y'all to play ANIMAR CEDH please!!! He is powerful AF
Alternate title: Play to win but you aren't playing to win
No Thassa/Consultation combo? Whaaaaat
And here i thought I'm gonna see Ghave on a cedh table. Nice game though..
I like how its casual decks but tyler plays gamble...then discards a memory jar....then plays a dockside 😂 all within 3 minutes of the game
Rules: no unconditional tutors under 2 mana
Literally turn 2 of first game someone casts Gamble ^^ I get that Gamble is a lot weaker than Vampiric and Demonic, but why not just say that you are not playing these 2?
Because gamble is not unconditional? You lose a card.
didnt watch yet but amazing video you people should all like and sub
Best casual commander is Arcanis the omnipotent 😁
How can y’all say free counterspells isn’t casual when there’s one in this years precons?
Everyone has a definition of casual. The rules were made to suit their playgroup and how they wanted to games to go.
