9:45 Would you consider making an I:P here to go into a Knightmare Phoenix against decks that use continuous spell/traps? That would give more value compared to the Linguriboh in such matchups,as well as give battle protection+an additional draw.
Book of moon is just worse than book of eclipse in this deck. He was playing moon in ryzeal cause it can't afford to play eclipse since it books their whole board. For us in malice it doesn't effect our links so it's just better.
@@coffeedudeable the books are no good post SUDA especially. Detonator and twins are definitely meta defining cards this format. So is A Bao, we just haven’t seen the crazy stuff it can do. But Lucas Sacco just posted a Maliss video showing some cool things I haven’t seen done with that card yet.
@isaacsamuel6035 a bao is pretty much guaranteed for sure. But my thoughts on the eclipse vrs moon situation is more so that even with twins bringing the dreadnator back eclipse still answers the rest of their board be it a ritual monster or another xyz or a fusion. AS WELL AS forcing the twins effect out. Where as book of moon simply only forces the twin effect. So it's far less us full going second. Going first both cards can hit a single light fiend on board but eclipse can hit 2 lvl 4s or board which is enough to lock the ryzeal engine out of the 1 card combo play. And book of moon can't do that. Either way I think slayer is probably going to be best answer we will have going second into ryzeal since it outs the dreadnator even with twins under it.
Good combo. But with bao first summon out the Maliss monster. Use them to make I:p so you end on a bao, trap and I:p opponents turn a bao summon gryphon
Deck lockdown is a crazy good tech. Considering you draw like 3 cards turn 1, I'd say you got a better chance to floodgate then your opp opening the ex. Soul release super spicy too 🥵

@@josemerced8331 it’s not a combo piece, unfortunately It’s more of a back up plan if you need a big monster. You just overlay it with any monster you control after your opponent summons twice from the extra deck. You can out detonator with it since 3000+ atk monsters can’t activate their effects

Maybe you should've gone for Haggard instead of S:P : it banishes as cost and it keeps your S:P in case you need it later. Also, the placement of Gryphon and A-Bao should be switched since Linguriboh is not being pointed by anything
You can’t banish ransom with Haggard, but imo the entire line is just wrong. If there is no link spider though, the one card combo can’t play around nib for a small backup plan, but still the combo should use Haggard earlier instead of TB-11
@@Doc_117 at a case tourney, 5 rounds against meta and a list that’s not optimized. I personally think I did fine. It was opportunity to learn where the deck lacked and how to improve. If you like. You can link your deck profile and thought process so maybe we can see what you have to offer

Should consider switching a lancea for a copy of artifact sanctum. You can set it with thrust which means the 1 sanctum is actually 3 cards. So cutting 1 lancea takes you from 3 copies to 5 copies
Except the real reason you need lancea is for going 2nd, not going 1st. Which is why it’s necessary to play 3. If you’re going 1st you’re already heavily favored to win.
@@GutsmanLoL if you go first and you get lancea'd then you need to be able to search lancea off the thrust to stop them and get the turn back. This comes up quite a lot.
@@talamontez326 I’m trying the deck without it. I found myself always drawing the lancea in my opening hands or drawing the crossout too late. If I get lancea’d, ill just hand trap/flood gate the opponent, and play on the crack back

The combos I post are pretty much templates for people to build off and make better.

What’s the purpose of sky crisis in the deck? I’ve seen a few deck profiles include but not mention why or show any combo lines for it.
