Thanks for the suggestion @kennykelley8874. I will definitely get round to that one bro. This video answers it a bit: ruclips.net/video/NQq96g-uTWU/видео.htmlfeature=shared but I will do another in the future. Cheers!
@@phillc thank you I did see this just felt if you would have played the setup showing the sound coming out of external speakers would have completed the video. I saw this on the DGX forums where people where struggling because the connection are not the traditional method of getting sound out of a portable piano.
Hi Phill, I'm just getting caught up on all your excellent instructional videos that I missed while I was on vacation and I just wanted to thank you for this very informative one.
Phill, I'd like to use my DGX660 as an external tone module/generator. i.e. have my DAW sequencer play the different midi tracks using the DGX sounds. I have a tried using my Casio CDP-350S but after I record a midi track and want to change the sounds the DAW crashes. I read the problem could be that General MIDI doesn't work with USB. The DGX660 & 670 are very similar.
I have a video soon about something similar. It should work but may not sound great. It depends on many factors including the specific DAW. Keep experimenting and trying new configurations :)
Great idea my friend! I need to spend time learning. I am iPad illiterate largely when it comes to AUDIO and PRODUCTION TECH, which is sad. I have to learn. Thank you!
PSR-E373 does have a USB to Host port that acts as a MIDI and Audio interface. This means you can connect the PSR-E373 to a computer and use recording software to capture the digital audio data of your playing but since my experiment here is not even in the DGX 670 manual, I would say it is worth a try on the PSR! Please let me know if it works.
Thanks for these vids Phill
@@stefan_giwa My pleasure 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much! Im currently DAW shopping and I have this specific model key board and was wondering about how to do this! 10/10!
You're very welcome bro 👊🙏
Phil I would love to hear you play you Dgx 670 from external speakers and give us the details of how you do your connections

@@kennykelley8874 I hear you bro. Great suggestion. Here is another video: ruclips.net/video/aaOvT_-PyKc/видео.html (Does it make sense? )

Is it possible to split the DGX 670 and play some parts with external VSTs and some with builtin sounds?
It should be possible. I have a video somewhere on how you can split and channel sounds from the styles, so this should be equally doable.
Can you do one using an iPad, thanks

Will this work on a Yamaha PSR E-373?
