Managed to get out on my birthday so dragged my well used Soar ahead Sailplanes Mini Wildthing out for a thrash on the dunes think she needs a recover whos keen to see that
Nick, I am totally envious of your slope soaring location. Its a dream location. The good news is March has arrived and thermal season will arrive soon. Lucky me has huge fields immediately outside my back door. Oh, nice plane....
Love the mini wildthing and so glad Balsa Cabin have taken on Alan’s design. Where’s your cog Nick. I can’t get mine quite right and I think I’ve got to bring the balance back a bit. Had a very frustrating morning with it the other day on Traprain Law and so just went back to my trustee 46” chequerboard one.
The old ones are always the best - or are they? With the benefit of hindsight, how does the Mini Wildthing stack up against the thin-wing flying wings you've made over the past couple of years?
Spot on Richard I always say it about previous owned hang gliders cherish the memory Wild thing is heavy and thick section. The soas is particularly efficient in a range off winds as is the smash
@@NickChittyFlying Thanks for your reply. It's good to know that all the computer time spent optimising aerofoils by the likes of Mark Drela and Peter Wick (among many others) hasn't been wasted. Long live computational fluid mechanics!

Yes I fancy some more dlg this year
On holidays in a rented apartment front beach with lots of wind, noticed that seagulls just surf the wind along the coast for pleasure
You wait for next build just saying 😍
This a nice edit of flight and music which appeared to be hinting at summer.
The outro showed otherwise. Thanks for braving the elements.
Thanks and now a dire week of easterly 😢
