Real-Life Review of Shark Wandvac WV201CO Costco Item 2413025 Handheld Vacuum

  • This video was recorded after 1 month of use. I paid $99.99 for the unit but it went on sale for $79.99 so Costco refunded the $20 about 35 days after purchase. I would buy this again. I actually bought on of these as a Christmas gift for a family member. 9.5/10. I wish you could wall mount the base so I deducted 0.5 :)

    I got one for my car. Didn't realize it only holds a charge for about 10 min. That's annoying. Looks like I'll have to vacuum my car in stages/on different days/etc, as it takes more than 10 min. to do a thorough job. Thanks for this review!

      I'm looking for a vac for my car too, but just need something to pick up the pine needles, tiny pebbles and dust that all cars pick up and honestly don't need more than 2 minutes here and there. If you want longer running times, you're going to have to get something way bigger and more expensive, something like a Dyson V8 Trigger.

      Does it do it with the filter entirely removed? If it does you may have a defective battery. I'd give Shark a call if it's under warranty. If not, I'd exchange it at Costco for a new one.

    • @striker1211
      @striker1211  11 месяцев назад

      You must charge it via the cradle there isn't a plug hole on it. As for the height, I have it packed away right now so I cannot say. It doesn't add more than a half inch to the vacuums length though I'd say because it sits on the cradle at an angle.

    • @striker1211
      @striker1211  Год назад +4

      You could try reseating the battery, there is a groove at the tip of the handle where you can insert a flathead and twist and the battery will pop out. Search for wandvac battery replacement on RUclips for a video of someone popping it out. After that I would check that the AC adapter plug is firmly inserted into the dock. If none of that works I would be returning it to Costco or calling Shark for warranty service since 6 months is a very short life for any vacuum. Good luck.

    How long does it take to recharge? So it's typically $100 for 10 minutes. 😮
    Since we can't buy an extra battery, knowing the recharge time is essential.
    Ps
    How well does it do with long human hair?

    • @striker1211
      @striker1211  Год назад +2

      That is a great question and I am shocked at myself that I did not provide that data in the video. I looked it up and it says it takes about 3 hours to charge and that is right in line with what I remember. I can say that with human hair you would have a possibility of getting the long strands stuck in the gate that keeps the debris from falling back out when the wind is upright but I would definitely buy it and give it a shot. Costco is really nice because you can just return it if it doesn't work out for you but this vacuum is pretty handy.
