It's pretty cool how BioShock 2 Multiplayer had weapons like the needle gun! It fits so well with the world of Rapture, you could imagine like a survivor coming with the idea of a makeshift weapon to fend of Splicers! So cool.
Also the nail gun was an original asset from the original BioShock
Volleygun deserves S tier because it can essentially stun lock enemies. Very useful for 1999 mode
I remembered the carbine being pretty much the most op in the game, it was like the sniper without the scope and better fire rate, headshot and heartshot on handyman dmg was crazy
@@aguahero9 having a gaming mouse with an auto-clicker turns the carbine into a proper full auto assault rifle
The rivet gun is the best Bioshock 2 weapon and is not even close, fully upgrade that, slap the headshot tonic and that thing makes big daddies drop like normal splicers. That is insane considering how cheap and common the ammo is.
Bolt + rivet headshot= insta kill
I would put Bioshock 2 shot gun at s tier because it slaps with the slug rounds.
And I use a trick for the bioshock 1 crossbow which allows me to spam the bolts turning it into a s tier weapon.
The mini-turrets from the hack tool , should have garnered its consideration for this list.
Not to mention the hacks being able to turn a bot or turret into an offensive ally.
Both cameras exclusion I can understand, but I think you should have included the hack tool from B2.
I may be a contrarian, but I like the revolver in Bioshock 1. It's pretty satisfying dropping a splicer with a headshot, plus that reload animation is awesome.
The ability to headshot is what saves the revolver from F tier in harder difficulties. That and armor-piercing ammo does chip damage to Big Daddies I guess.
But the crossbow is better at headshots (assuming you can aim a non-hitscan weapon) and Electric Gel trivializes Big Daddy fights so it feels irrelevant from Fort Frolic onward.
@@CapnCoconutsI just did a playthrough the other day, and you can one shot Houdini and nitro splicers with the anti personnel rounds, and you don't need to reload cancel like with the crossbow. I think it should be A or B tier, with the crossbow being S tier.
Crossbow is the strongest weapon in the whole 3 games
Had the most fun with the shotgun for sure in part 1, especially for those surprise splicers that pop up behind you in the harder modes…Splicer: “surprise!” Me: “wrong,💥!”
Crossbow is S tier, best weapon in the game, B is CRAZY

The drill is immediately the strongest weapon in the series with the most range is the only one that can be upgraded ESPECIALLY with a reflector alongside having the most gene tonics IN THE FRANCHISE dedicated to just this weapon alone theres a reason a drill only run is the most popular bioshock run
The shotgun gets a bigger clip does more damage even without the upgrade has more range and the same shooting speed and its hidden 3RD upgrade makes every shot electric essentially making every shot also function EXACTLY like bioshock 1s electric shell but alongside every other type of shell it boggles my mind how u can rate it lower and not explain why
The machinegun wasnt useless endgame like bioshock 1s tommy gun was nuff said
The rocket launcher shoots further does more damage and is more versatile with its ammo types then bioshock 1s grenade launcher
Also air hooks amazing with invisibility as u can stealth kill in the middle of a crowd and immediately go invisible and enemies will ALWAYS come in to investigate allowing u too destroy groups without using a single shot and booker can get an upgrade the doubles its range and triples its melee damage at the cost of 20% shield with DESTROYS everyone
My personal favorites list:
A. Wrench
B. Pistol
C. Grenade Launcher
...all other weapons after those.

Great to see you again Eric. Glad you decided to give yourself a break after realising you were burned out with Bioshock.
For me, the wrench and camera are just S tier! All the ways that you become invisible and overpowered when using the wrench and doing every bit of research using the camera just felt SO GOOD.
I love the microwave gun, always satisfying to see splicers go boom, S tier just for the fun factor.
Love me some juicy tier list content… I feel like the wrench and Tommy gun should get a bit more love, as I am 100%-ing 1 right now and those two carry the first 2-3 levels on survivor. Great list nonetheless, hope you’re doing well and keep up with the great content!

I enjoy infinites shotgun it can take down groups of normal enemies very quickly despite its short range
Once I picked up the carbine I literally never put it down paired with the shotgun it got me through the whole game, an S tier in my opinion

I think the video warranted for you rank the alternative ammo types for at least some of the weapons, since stuff like the electric gel and the rocket ammo, the electric shells can actually make or break the usage of certain weapons in any given gameplay, hell, as a hacker I would actually find myself using the liquid nitrogen ammo to freeze turrets and cameras to hack them, which is particularly useful during the olympus hights section of the game.
carbine + auto-clicker = AK-47
you can turn it into a proper assault rifle.
denfinitely my favorite gun, the accuracy, range and DPS are insane. nothing is as versatile.
it outclasses the both the sniper and the revolver in ROF, recoil and mag capacity and the machineguns in range, accuracy and DPS. The only jobs it can't do are those of the grenade launchers and shotguns.
Ngl, in my most recent playthrough of bioshock 2 the max level grenade launcher was probably the best weapon one could hope for: 1 shotting all splicers, 2 shotting brutes and 3 shotting Big daddies.
from my experience id put Crossbow even higher.
- It one shots most splices to the head
- You can reclaim the ammo
- and at the point in the game you get it you're already loaded with money so its not too bad to just buy the ammo
I could say the same about the rivet gun with the added bonus of finding the ammo basically anywhere. When i was getting Against All Odds I basically just used nothing but the rivet gun on basic splicers for one shots to the head
Melee weapons are hard to judge as they are very tonic dependant to support using them, going from either primary weapon down to never used.
grenade+rocket from 1+2 should be the same rank as they opperate so similarly
chemical thrower is basically 3 plasmids in one so one of the most unique weapons for use outside of direct combat
bio 2 shotgun really lost out by losing electric ammo and phospher buck is less punchy than the original explosive shells
Personally, I think RivetGun is the most op of all series. I can imagine making my way through all games at the hardest difficulties with it. Reasonable amount of ammo, great improvements for the weapon, crazy damage doing headshots and pretty fast.
I mostly agree with the rest of the list, maybe I would not consider the bioshock1 shotgun an S tier but I get your reasons, just not a personal fav; on the other hand the bioshock1 pistol I think deserves better, certainly it makes a shitty damage at the endgame stages but with antipersonal rounds, and damage improvement I think it serves as a valid solution to finish a stubborn enemy.

I just completed Bioshock 2 on the hardest difficulty and i cant believe how low you put the Rivet Gun. That was my go to weapon for the entire game, especially when fully upgraded. Try it with the Headhunter Tonic and thank me later.
Drill is S teir for me. I use the drill on Brutes,Daddies, and Sisters. Drill feul is found all over and can be bought at both vending machine types. Using drill dash or just spinning the drill on the tougher enemies stuns them a bit and their health just goes down fast, it also helps conserve your other ammo for adam collections.
I also think tier lists will change depending on what input youre using. MnK vs controller. like the Infinite Carbine is easssssssy S tier, clicking heads is so easy and satisfying with it on a mouse. great list overall though! these are fun to watch

Bioshock having so many cool weapons definitly enhances the experience, the more weapons there are and the more unique they are the better players can express themselves in combat and be creative.
Recently i played prey and man does it hurt the experience to play a amazing game where your weapons are terrible
That's a solid list. I would have the chemical thrower on the s level, simply because the fontaine boss fight is a literal cakewalk with electric gel. Like, you can completely ignore everything but him. It's too easy. But you're right, it's kind of useless without the gel.
The flame gel is absolutely top tier with the tonic that adds fire damage .

Crossbow should be S tier, it kills spider splicers on body shot qnd you can animation cancel to make it fire quickly.
Rivet gun should be A or S, with upgrades and head hunter it one shots nearly everything.
Grenade launcher should be A or B, it has a lot of dps with animation cancelling and can trivialize big daddy fights if you throw a corpse or barrel loaded with sticky bombs using telekinesis.
Chem thrower should be higher, it has utility and is very efficient. It's also stronger than the tommy gun or the bioshock 2 machine gun.
Speaking of those, both machine guns suck on hard mode even with anti personnel rounds. Every other weapon outperforms them.

Bioshock= Shotgun, crossbow, tommygun
Bioshock 2= Drill, Shotgun, speargun and Elephant Gun from the MP. I really would like to have the Elephant Gun in the base game. That would be amazing!!

Radar Range and Chemical Throw are both F-Tier weapons

@@Mandalore_ultimate it can fully replace electroshock and winter blast. with 1-2 ammo out of the hundreds available, you can one-two punch splicers, freeze security devices to easily hack, and for a bit more ammo, drench a room in fire for crowd control purposes. it's a utility weapon that people misinterpret as a damage dealer. it saves Eve AND Adam. I never use winter blast and rarely use electrobolt because of the chemical thrower. I'm talking survivor difficulty, here.
I'd be curious to try the chemical thrower with the tonics for the firepower, maybe it could be better.. About this tier, i just disagree with the wrench, cause is a weapon that depends from a bunch of gene tonics and plasmids, on the other way, is a good way to save ammo and you can do a NG survivor run with only that weapon and plasmids. I think B is the right tier.
