Hello Patrick, how can I access the bottom of the PCB for the SA-5300 II? It seems that the different PCBs are connected to a plastic ground plate. In my previous SA's there was a metal service bottom plate which can be unscrewed. Hopefully you can give me some instructions.
hi Pat, caught this video because going to look at same unit, only test I can do is plug a portable player into each input along with headphones, has the original box along with its matching receiver, in Peekskill, ny, you close to do repair if needed
I just bought one of these on ebay and its exactly the same! Has the resistor in the speaker wire, same engraving on the face, and 3 prong plug with hot glue (the 3rd wire in mine was bare without connector and hanging around....really confused me). I thought that resistor looked out of place its coming out. This video was really helpful man it answered all of my questions.
I bought exactly the same amp for some time ago, everything is working fine but one fuse marked T4A on a circuit board where the main caps are sitting(closer to a tone circuit board) was blown. I replaced it but it has got blown again. What's the reason? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for posting! Good job. I'm still thinking about that 10-ohm resistor...I like that polish; good idea. Are going to repaint the black cover?I think my Nevr-Dull is too abrasive for a face plate.
My guess is that someone was sending a signal to some other device. As for the polish, I have a few face plates from junk equipment that I will test on. Painting the cover is an idea.
