"We raised you and AJ and look at the job we did there." ROFTL
Is Alan serious?!! He always talked about what a disappointment AJ was and Jason got his head slammed into a tree.
I loved how even AJ widened his eyes at that comment.

Jason was Michael's father for the first year of his life.
AJ threatened to take the baby away from Carly, then she lied and said the baby was Jason's.
Carly had post-partum depression after giving birth and she left town, leaving Jason to take care of Michael.

You forgot that Carly tried to deny AJ knowledge of paternity while the child was in utero and falsified a test and the due date to make it look like it was Tony's and told AJ he should just let Tony be the father even if Tony wasn't. That's why AJ threatened to take the baby away from Carly.

  • @CaptainPikeachu

Yeah well, Jason as the father at the time has a right to decide who raises his child. It's one thing for Alan and the Qs to have a discussion with Jason about where the baby lives, it's another thing to trick Jason and take away the baby by force. At that point they crossed the line and Jason can whatever he feels necessary to protect his baby.

They saw Michael as a pawn! Didn't Edward say something about giving Carly a cash settlement for Michael? Edward always thought of the quartermaine kids as property. Look at what they did to baby Kristina! They threatened to keep Alexis from Kristina for the rest of her life!

Jason did not treat the Q’s any worse than they treated him. They treated him like he was a disappointment because he would not be their old lovable Jason. On one hand they treated him like a child who was unable to take care of himself, and on the other they expected him to behave just like he was before the accident.
And he never acted like Sonny and Carly were saints. He knew exactly what they were. He just loved them in spite of their faults.

Team Tony Ironically Alan asks if Jason doesn’t think what he did would prove fatal. But here in December of 2019. Alan, Edward, AJ and Tony are all dead, and Jason and Michael are still alive and well. So while what he does may still prove fatal it hasn’t done so yet. Jason would have had plenty of time to raise Michael.
And yet with all Michael has gone through, he has grown into a fine young man. Strong, loving and capable, And CEO of ELQ.
      Michael was not ruined.
I am not sure he would have turned out so well if he had been raised in the Quartermaine house.
Being used as a bargaining chip by AJ to get whatever he wanted from Edward and approval from Alan.
Being pressured to be the family’s future by Edward, and doted on by Alan and Monica?
And probably in constant competition with Ned.
The only stabilizing influence would have been Lila and Emily.
The kid would not have had a chance to be normal.

There's also a scene in 1993, I think it was John ingle's first week as Edward, he's talking about Tracy being sent away for a while (he sent her away) but he was disappointed that she didn't leave Dillion behind because he had no say in how he was raised. Well I'm sorry, but last time I looked, the parents are the ones who decide what's best for their child, not the grandparents!

Are you serious ? You really can’t see the damage Robin caused? She blew everyone’s life apart.
      Jason and Robin broke up.
It opened a gulf between AJ and Jason that was so wide, they were never able to cross it.
It led AJ to spend his life in a vain attempt to get Michael back, and turned him into a bitter, angry man who ended up doing desperate and despicable things, including treating Courtney so badly, kidnapping three children, brainwashing his own son, shooting Alan in the back, trying to murder Jason, and faking his own death.
It led Carly into her stupid, desperate plan to force AJ out of her and Michael’s life for good. A plan that was doomed to fail from the start.
It led to Jason losing Michael and eventually leaving town for awhile in an attempt to set things right.
It led to Carly and Sonny raising Michael and the horrible things he went through.
It led to further alienation between Jason and the family.
And in the end, it was all for nothing. Robin did not accomplish her main goal which was to get Carly and Michael out of Michael’s life so she could have him all to herself again. She lost Jason instead.
Robin claimed she did it because she just couldn’t keep the lie a moment longer. I guess that big fight she had just before she told AJ triggered that irresistible need to tell, that she could not even take the time to inform Jason what she was going to do.
She put her being uncomfortable with a lie over Jason’s heartbreak when he lost Michael? She had to know what would happen. AJ told her twice what he would do. She was appalled both times and promised Jason both times that she would never tell. What changed to make her break her word to Jason and blow apart so many lives?
But hey, Robin’s conscious was clear, so everything was good, right?

@@beegee1960 Are you serious trying to convince people Robin was wrong?

    • @beegee1960
      @beegee1960 5 лет назад +4

CRAYZEE TONY Are you seriously trying to convince them she was right. Perhaps telling AJ was right in theory. On the surface it seems like the right and noble thing to do.
But when you look closer and examine the motivation. for doing it, the betrayal, and the aftermath, things don’t look so clear.
To say the least Robin’s motivation was suspect.
And To tell AJ the truth, Robin broke her promise to Jason, a promise she made while in full knowledge of the facts. So to do what was right Robin had to do something that was wrong, betray the man she loved.
And what was sad, no good came of it. No one benefitted. Least of all AJ. He did not get his son. And Jason lost Michael.
The person who lost the most was Michael. He lost out in having Jason as his father instead of Sonny.
That is one truth that would have been better off never being told.
What is right is not always what is best.
Of course this is just my opinion.

    • @beegee1960
      @beegee1960 5 лет назад +3

93ddb Actually that is not tue. Jason came through many times especially for Emily. He rescued Monica from killing Dorman. He tried to find A J. after he made his big confession. He saved Emily’s life after she used drugs. And he was always kind to Lila.
Jason could not help that he could not remember them or that he felt no connection to them. But not only to them, he had no connection to himself. Jason Quartermaine was as much a stranger to him as the others were.
And when they told him how wonderful he had been, he he could not see himself in their words. He was
confused because he did not feel like the person they described and did not know how to be him.
And he knew he was disappointing them. He could see it in their eyes, especially Alan.
Alan made it very clear how he felt. The new Jason did not measure up to Alan’s perfect son.
And they were so caught up in their pain, that they could not see what they were doing to him.
He had to distance himself from them to keep his sanity.
He tried to help because Robin told him he had a responsibility to them, that they were his family.
But every time he tried, they wanted more of what he did not have to give. It made him pull back, which in turn hurt them again.
But he rebuilt the connections with the ones who did not pressure him to be the same person he was before the accident.
Lila, Ned, Emily and eventually Monica were able to set aside their memories of the old Jason and accept the new Jason as someone worthy to know.
Alan could never give up his lost son for the new version..
Edward just did not like the new version. He could not intimidate or control Jason, and that made him resentful.
Edward would try to force Jason to give in to his demands by issuing ultimatums, which Jason threw back in his face.
Jason wasn’t being a prick. It was a defensive measure to protect himself.

CAM8689 Nice thought except that was not what they were doing.
They still thought Jason was the father and they were trying to take Michael away from him anyway.
At this point they were not at all concerned about who the biological father was.
They made no secret of the fact that they considered other aspects more important.
They wanted Michael and they did not give a damn if Jason was the biological father or not.
They thought they had the right to take him.
It was only when they found out that A J was the biological father that they got so concerned about who the biological father was.
Suddenly that was the most important thing in the world.
Their self righteous hypocrisy was mind boggling.
And by the way, all Jason was doing was trying to keep the Quartermaines from stealing Michael from his mother. He knew what they were capable of. And this clip shows that they would not hesitate to do just that. If they would try to do this to Jason, what would they have done to Carly?
