I think IR should consider making some Double decker coaches in LHB form and give it a unique livery across all the places where Intercity trains connect from city to city, it should run fully with double deckered coaches or its production should be eliminated, and the concept of intercity trains should be brought forth and be continued! Making the SBC CBE & SBC MAS run with half double decker coaches and half normal LHB coaches may not really help is what I see.. Either DD should be introduced back with full fledged coaches while it runs or we can consider to do something abt it in future considering the passenger demand :) Just sharing my thoughts on this DD concept :)

The full double decker coach runs empty almost on weeks. Hence railways have done this kind of practice to earn some revenue from normal coach.!
