I remember spending winter days out on Mullet Lake with my adopted Grandpa, my Dad and my brothers back in the 1970’s. Grew up in Cheboygan with my Grandparents living in Aloha, on the east side of the lake. Also remember sitting out in Grandpa’s shanty when he was spearfishing sturgeon. Sunny cold days, old Ski-Doo’s, grilling hot dogs out on the ice…..wonderful memories. Absolutely love Mullet and Burt Lake area….still have childhood friends that live there. 👍
Sight fished Mullet last year, hit a sweet perch spot about 1/3 mile from a public launch, 18” of gin clear water, kept 52 between 2 of us for a day and a half.

What a perfect day in Michigan's Up North. Perch my favorite.
We only had two days of safe ice last winter and lakes still not frozen here in southern part of the state.

@@creekwater576That’s today
MI has been warm this past weekend. Looking forward to a cold snap but the snow won’t help build ice. Hope prevails.
