The film "Oro Arrowhead" tells the story of Jim Powell, who accidentally learns that his father has been secretly searching for an artifact that keeps the local town in tension. New Zealand here. Well, a bit of a far fetched B grade story. About the quality one would expect. Some parts of the story are interesting but the script is not great. The dialogue at times is not constructed well and is a tad stilted. But one of the issues is that they (Producers) try to use cliched roles. You know, the former Military man, returning home after his father dies. Tries to show he is an alpha type male, doesn't scare easily. That the women just love and try to chat him up, particularly the girls around age 20 when he is obviously about aged 40. The local area is full of either ex military, or former High School "friends" or red-necked hillbilly types. When they introduce a supernatural twist (a woman is meant to be about 200 years old) who falls for the "hero", it all just gets a bit much. Still, I enjoy watching B grade movies made on the cheap. LOL. Cheers.
