whoever picked Jin to sing this song, knew exactly what kind of emotion they wanted to portray. The song itself is really written from the perspective of the male lead emotion.
And what a match. I truly can't imagine anyone getting us there better than Jin. He pulled his in gently with his delicate voice then built the song right up. Jin was climbing the mountain with his voice and we came along the journey.
Jin is special. What sets him apart from 'good singers' is his story telling abilities, and that can't be taught. Just beautiful, I can not imagine anyone pulling this off like Jin.

I Never cry with a song. Aaagh! Jin acts so beautifully with his voice. This is arranged with exquisite precision! It doesn’t need English to bring me to tears. Jin’s use of his voice absolutely wrings every bit of emotion from each note. That last hopeless note leaves me frozen.

That's how amazing Jin is as vocalist. It's not only about hitting high notes or doing vocal calisthenics it's how you let your audience/listeners feel your song. Jin is so effective in that because he sings with so much emotions.

Jin's voice is simply beautiful and this particular song allows it to shine while conveying all of the emotions behind it. Jin has said in an interview, I think it was with Weverse, that he still doesn't think his voice is anything special and I wish he could read all of the comments that are praising him. Coming from someone who had no interest in music or singing to having a solo OST in less than ten years shows how hard he worked to get to this point. ARMY understands tears too because for many of us we have a song(s) that gets us in our feels every single time and that's the beauty of music regardless of language.

it never fails to amaze me how well BTS’s music does truly transcend language not only emotionally to your heart because of the musicality, but also just in general your ability to pick up what a song is about without even knowing Korean. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done that now that I know them well. And it’s mind blowing to me how good the members are at conveying a message that feels universal. Jin’s voice is so good, and I think it’s amazing how good he is at changing from a whisper to a full on vocal and how that really plays with your emotions in a beautiful way.

You should check out Jin’s song “epiphany”. Of course, they all have amazing solos…but Jin’s song “Epiphany”….It’s simply beautiful but the message…I go back to it to learn to love myself even though it’s not natural as I grew up with a very dysfunctional family that I believe hated me.. I’m still learning to love myself and this beautiful soul of mine…

I admire you for showing your true feelings. Jin's different vocal techniques, tonality and emotions were showcased in this song. truly amazing. this rollercoaster of mood and melody fit the atmosphere and plot of the kdrama Jirisan. I started to watch the kdrama and there is a lot of mystery, especially with the main characters. If no one has commented yet, they say that the la dda dda dda is a signal calling for help or SOS. Again, this is related to the storyline of the kdrama.
Another info: the vocal arrangement of this song was done by Slow Rabbit. Thank you, Slow Rabbit for the beautiful arrangement and trusting Jin with this song. Slow Rabbit was also the producer of the other iconic songs of Jin like Epiphany, Awake, Moon and Tonight. Every time there is a Slow Rabbit and Jin tandem, the song becomes a masterpiece.
Lastly, the la dda dda dda at the end with the blending of low and high then to the high then to the low may signify the calling of help by the both the main female and male characters of the kdrama.
He is my bias not just because he is my bias I love him but it's his personality that includes everything that made me love him apart from other overrated BTS members though all are love still. Don't mind
Jin sings from his soul. He is not acting..he feels it…And to imply that he uses his acting ability diminishes his honest singing talent.
I agree that he feels it and sings from an honest and beautiful place. I also think that his acting ability is not to be underestimated here. Jin is a gifted actor who has worked so hard on his singing to make it seem effortless. He has the skill and talent to truly inhabit the point of view of the song and imbue it with such emotion that we believe the pain and longing of the lyrics and music.
A different performer might have taken an approach that wouldn't have as much empathy that comes from having that training as an actor.
Jin needs to do a movie or a tv series. I would love that for him. You can tell he's a trained actor due to his ability to emote. His songs make me the most emotional. I would love it if Jin would do a cover of IF, by Bread. That would be delicious.
Another super emotional song by Jin is "I Love You" a song he covered in their early years. I love it, and still listen to it to this day.

Jin's voice is so well suited to emotional ballads, while I was not prepared, I was not at all surprised by this. When I first found BTS, Jin wasn't even on my radar. On and on he has so impresses me with his work ethic, character and powerful voice. His voice excites me so much now! I love it!!! 💜💜💜💜
He was the last person I noticed or paid attention to when I started watching BTS but 1 month into BTS he became my ultimate bias. He is the perfect blend of being kind, passionate, funny-goofy, very talented ( I feel there is much more to explore in his talent aspect). He influenced me more than any other guy in BTS.

Exactly my reaction when I first heard it, crying! I'm Indonesian with English as my second language, but music sure transcends language & culture!
And Jin's first training as an Actor before becoming an Idol has helped him a great deal in his excellent emotional expressions when he sings that make his solo songs be able to deeply resonate with us, his audience!
Then, of course, his technique-driven vocals that have earned him the praise of being called a Silver-Voiced singer from the Grammy Panel.
Lastly, the hook "La-ta-ta-ta..." has a special importance to the whole song, according to an explanation on Twt.
It's supposed to symbolize the Morse-code of SOS being silently cried out by the comatose Male Lead, even tragically ending the song with it, with almost no music, just Jin's voice sounding fainter & fainter, as if dying!
A genius idea by the Composer, Gaemi, being executed flawlessly by the genius Vocalist, Jin, right?

When you really hear him performing this piece of music you can't stop the tears. The pain in his voice reaches into your heart & soul then jerks them out. This causes more pain bc your heart is in your hands & it's the vessel

I started watching Jirisan when they announe that Jin will sing the OST. Please believe me when I say that even from the first episode, its like watching the climax already. This drama is packed with beautiful scenery, great acting, a truly wonderful ensemble of actors, a very interesting story. And hearing Jin's Yours captures the essence of the story.Heart-warming, melancholy, vulnerability and sincere emotions.

This song takes my breathe away, Jin makes you FEEL the song. This is one of my favorite of all he sings. I can’t wait to see what he has planned once he is done with his military service. The series is so good. Need to watch it for sure.
