Very nice and congratulations on your acquisition. Just please remember as a basic safety rule to keep the exposed part of the blade 2-3mm higher than your workpiece. May you enjoy many hours of creative fun.
Looking at how close you were bringing your hands to the actual running rotating sharp powerful saw blade, it seemed as if your hands can be easily replaced if damaged.
This DWE7492 saw is probably the best saw Dewalt ever made. Well designed in both appearance and function, the mechanical parts are smooth while operating. The 2000 watt motor gives sufficient power to most tasks. So if you look for a mid-range price saw, this is for you.
DeWalt sells the DWE 4792 with different specifications in different countries. In India, the model sold is Dewalt DWE7492-IN 2000W 254mm Portable Table Saw and it can take a 254 mm blade with no modifications. i have bought this model from Amazon India.
Thanks for the review. I am looking fir this model (7492). The one I see listed in the US is the 7491. I don't know what the differences are, but I want to buy the latest and greatest.
Reading the other comments, apparently the only (or main) difference from the 7491 sold in the US is blade size. But even that seems to get complicated. It appears thus machine soecifies a 254mm blade, whuch is 10 inches like we use in the US. The -QS version uses a 250mm blade, which is apparently standard in other parts of the world. I guess I can be assured I am getting the latest and greatest if I buy the 7491, which is the only version listed on Amazon in the US. I have not checked Home Depot and Lowes yet, but will next.
Hello Can you help me with some information? I saw that your DW7492 came with a 254mm blade even on the knife is written 254mm.I did not found any DW7492 OR DW7492QS on google with 254mm blade only 250mm except amazon india. Can you help me where did you bought or any information where the 254mm model is sold or distributed? Thanks
@@yeahrightmate Only 4 mm does make a difference on the DW7492 models, sold in the USA. The 254 mm blade will hit the riving knife mount and destroy the blade and damage the riving knife mounting.
@@salvistoscano Crap 254mm in the metric of 10", it is a 10" saw not a 9 7/8". 4mm diameter is only 2mm bigger from the center. 254mm blade is a 10" blade. 25.4mm to the inch.
He's just showing his self-confidence in his dexterity.. Personally, I know I could get by with that 999 times out of a 1000, but that one time I got to close I would lose a finger or two and my hand might never work quite right again. Plus, I'd get blood on my pretty yellow new saw and experience excruciating pain. I'm a wuss and prefer avoiding pain when possible. And, there's the medical codt and lost work time. Not to mention my baby grand rendition of Mozart's 5th would be vastly degraded (if I could gave played it before the accudent).
The HUGE problem I have with this table saw (and _any_ table saw, to be fair) is that I've completely solved the dust collection problem with my cheap Bosch PTS 10 amateur saw. I absolutely want this thing.... the DeWalt 7492. The problem is that I've used my two sack 4 HP dust extraction system and attached a downscaled (from 160 mm) 125mm hose to my table saw that works perfectly. I get virtually no dust from my table saw. I do have an OK workshop vacuum, but the DeWALT needs two hoses.... and they wil never be able to collect as much as my current system does... so I'm a bit wary about chaning. Especially because the Bosch PTS 10 was easy to change, to fit my extraction system. I pulled out the thin plastic bottom and replaced it with an MDF pyramid-like thing which attached to the 125 mm hose. With the DeWALT I need either two vacuums or some kind of divider, that attaches two both extraction points.

Thanks you sir, I still have to learn a lot🤗

so dangerous
Just don't put your shlong in contact with the blade and all should be good .
or maybe for any shlong saw activities unplug at the wall outlet...
this is by far the best demonstration if DWE7492 .. Well done

Sure! We get one of this
Yes but it is not a Dewalt made saw, it is a Chinese saw that is sold under a lot of different names and Dewalt is one of them.
Super filmik
Bought one about a week ago, and I'm very happy with the results I can get from it. Plenty of functions for criativity here!
Kaça aldın
I paid about USD 660 (conversion from Brazil Real).
Well done video, with many details of how to use this saw. The best introduction to DWE7492 I've ever seen.
The best table circular saw in the world.
You mean portable saw, it is nowhere near the best saw.
Very well demonstrated. Excellent bit of machinery and I may just buy it though the price is a bit prohibited.
Dude!!! Your hand is way too close to that blade.
Well done! Time to buy mine as well
mong chờ bác ra video chế bàn cho DWE7292
Wow very nice
Thank you very much.
Best non-speaking video I have seen. !!!!!!
Thanks you🥰
Eu tô apaixonada por essa máquina 😅
You forgot to attach the anti kickback pawls that come supplied with the machine
Hallo hast du auch so ein Blitzlichtgewitter am Motor wenn die Säge ausgeschaltet wird?
I am having the same spark lights when i switch it off. I hope it's normal and it's due to the motor's brushes.
Ja
Great. very good machine

Can you use dado blades on it and if so which ones have you bought, also the insert plate?
The machine can attach dado blades, buy this one : "CMT DADO PRO" and usually I make wooden inserts.
@@MakeItSimple0805 What is required width and material you use for inserts?
Rubber wood, the wood grain is also beautiful, the material is soft and easy to handle. The width you measure should fit the dewalt insert plate
@@MakeItSimple0805 Mind mine mistake, when I stated the width I was actualy thinking the thickness. Sorry
Wow so admire!!!

DeWalt 4792-qs is using 250 mm sawblades. How can you fit a 10" (254 mm) blade into it? It is impossible without some modifications!

Nice compare to -QS model which only can have 250mm blade
Is this the 7492 QS model ?
Can a 7 inch blade fit in it?
Well if it fits a 10 inch blade I am sure you could put a 7 inch in but I don't know why you would want to.
I wish i knew that the non QS version can fit 254 mm blade... I just got a DWE7492QS...

Maybe the 4792 is just the same model as the 7491 except made for other countries.

Can we install cmt blades? The inner diameter of the tree is 25.4 On the Dewalt DWE7492 table saw??
i think, you can do that by machining the collar of the clamping washer and making the washer flat.

Only 4mm difference so I am sure it is just naming of the saw, like a 250 motorbike is not always a 250 it is just rounded to that.
