Great tour, Paul! I like your tour guide. She’s very detailed. I did this kind of tour 6 yrs ago with my friends and our guide did not put a lot of attention yours did. The highlight was the Loboc river cruise for me. That’s so nice of you to try tinkling with Joanna. Did that with my friends and I was so bad 😂
Thanks for commenting. Yes she was amazing and helpful as a guide. This video was filmed about two years ago. I got so many I still need to upload from our travels together back in 2022. I'm slow at editing 😆
Honestly I just used my wife when traveling to Mindanao because she is from Mindanao. There are safer places in the Philippines. Also the East and North parts of Mindanao are considered more safe. However we did use Viator to book some excursions while we were in Cebu for some fun things to do in Visayas.
Honestly my best advice is to build an itinerary, know where you're going, tell people, ask locals, research the places, and trust your instincts. Also if you like to travel outside of tourist hotspots I recommend the book called Vagabonding by Rolf Potts
