For anyone wondering about the strongback construction... You don't need the strongback to be particularly straight. Nor does it need to be made from single long lengths of timber. A pulled string is your reference to get the formers into accurate positions and thus ensure the boat is straight. I made my 14ft strongback from scrap 1/2" and 3/4" oriented strand board (OSB) ply, the longest being 8ft. I made it wider (10"x6") than the plans suggested because there happened to be enough leftover ply to do so plus I used it on all 4 sides and staggered the butt joins.
The getting started step is the one I've been hovering at for quite awhile. I've got the kit and most material, just need a little push. Thanks for the video.
Larry - I built a Nimrod 8/2006 from plans and supplies I purchased from Platt Monfort. I can attest it has held up great. Your videos are excellent though and I wish they were around when I built it. I bought plans from Mystic for John Blanchard's 13' guideboat which I would like to do using skin on frame. I built a 15' guideboat using stitch and glue plywood method but at 75 lbs it is tough to get on top of car. That is why I want to go skin on frame building from now. Would like to see your guideboat that you mentioned in this video.
What power tools are needed to make your kits? Assuming table saw and planer for stringers and ribs. Jig saw or band saw for stem and stern. Drill driver and what else?
This isn't very helpful for a person building one boat. Following the instructions for building a strongback created a complete useless mess. Maybe when the plans were originally written one could economically buy a pair of straight 1"x4" x 16' but that is no longer the case. How about a video where you do make a strongback for the one-off builder? So far that has been the biggest headache.

Good videos. How do I get in touch with you? I have questions about what boat to build. Thank you.

Thanks Mischa! Let us know what we can do to keep the process going!
