Insha allah u will also teach her to have hayaa not just the name. Nothing worse than seeing a sister called hayaa now a days and she acts the complete opposite.. very disturbing and sad.
Hi, new to Islam. I love this khutbah. Coming from a life of no hayaa at all, is there hope for some of us? I just pray for Allah's mercy. Make dua for our guidance.
When you convert whatever happened before is completely wiped. Isn't that the biggest indication of hope? You can start fresh as a new baby ! Welcome to Islam ❤

May Allah bless you abundantly for all that you do.

Assalamu Alaikum, I hope this message finds you well. I am not sure if this is the right place for suggestions, but I would like to propose a topic for a future lecture: the theory that AI and robots may become self-aware and develop consciousness. Personally, I do not subscribe to this belief, as I think that consciousness is tied to the existence of a soul, which, as we understand, is a divine gift from God. However, I notice that some atheists advocate for the idea of self-aware machines, potentially due to their differing views on God and the concept of the soul. I was inspired to bring this up after watching your excellent series on the law of attraction, which I found very insightful. Jazak Allah khair for your consideration!
I find it interesting the lesson about joking morally, thinking about it later it occurs to me (as a westerner) how much western comedy is based around mocking and denigrating others.

Dear sheikh, the Arabic word stem for deceiving and clothing is the same, lbs. Could it be related that once they were deceived, their clothing disappeared?
‘Iblis’ comes from root word ‘بَلَسَ Balasa’ meaning ‘outcasted, exiled, stripped away from honour’, but also taken from ‘Iblaas إبلاس’ meaning ‘stripped of hope of goodness and deemed to be miserable and regret.’ Similar word in the Quran is ‘Mublisoon فإذا هم مُبْلِسون’ the people of hell fire will be ‘stripped of hope and remain full of regret’. As for deception ‘لَبِسَ means to be compass a person or thing with doubt and manipulate’. They are closely related and serve eachother in meaning. One can look at it this way: ‘Since Iblis is named as such because goodness and hope has been stripped away from him, he caused Adam and Eve’s clothing (dignity Haya and security) to be stripped away from them making them vulnerable to be stripped of hope and show regret as well, and by whispering to them he caused their certainty and conviction to be stripped away and replaced with confusion and misguide’.
There is a difference of opinion about this, with a minority who say it is haram. The difference is about interpretation of the veers ‘they should not reveal their ornaments except what ordinarily appears of her’, this means the face and hands others said no face and hands must be covered and it means the clothing outside of that. In general, Allah has told us to guard part of our gaze, both men and women. This shows that there is some looking when there is a need, and even if one looked without a desire such as when you’re passing in the market or streets etc it is not haram but generally ‘better’ not to if there is no need. As mentioned in the lecture, there is evidence men at the time of the prophet pbuh and women did look at eachother at times. But if one is looking without desire, they know themself and shouldn’t do so. There will always be minority opinions though. Allah knows best.
