- I received a box from Zuru X-Shot for their brand new "Skins" line and got a pleasant surprise on one of the blasters. There are a lot of new paint schemes to like and collect but the Dread - Boom Brett edition is one of a kind. Thank you X-Shot for making me laugh.

The new X-Shot "Skins" look great, but the Brett edition is a true masterpiece 😄

Looks like they're reskinning all of their regular blasters in red as well, although I'm yet to see a new Max Attack. I wish they'd make an improved Crossbow but X-Shot seem more interested in repainting the existing Dino Attack blasters than making a new one.

For all their faults X-shot can make beautiful blasters. the x-shot skin series has some of the best looking blasters the industry has EVER produced.

I actually wish for a reflex 6 reskin in this line. I think x shot makes one of the best cheap revolver. But for a primary i prefer something else.

I agree, I think x-shot only shines in the pistol categories. Their primaries are not that special. Most of them are only reskins of their old blasters. They don't have usable magazine fed blaster because their magazine is not cross compatible. They don't have flywheel blaster. They only have drum blasters and most of them functions the same. The new fortress is not that appealing to me either because the slam fire basically follows the same principle as the max havoc and turbo fire where it uses pistol style slam fire which fires when the prime is pulled back. Reflex 6 is the only usable one in the entire line but that's just my opinion, i'm sure many people like x-shot.
edit: not fortress but the last stand. I got mixed up in their names. The fortress is a turbo advance reskin if i'm not mistaken. I forgot.
@@Makotosaber I agree. The Reflex 6 is a super solid sidearm. That and similar ones are all quite robust and simple. Unless you're into drums, they haven't really got anything for a primary option.

That new flagship blaster really should have had a bigger drum, and more solid plastic. Then it'd be a great stock war scavenger blaster.

On the topic of old x-shot darts, I noticed that my deltatrooper fed X-shot darts through all my magazines I tried with it flawlessly, not sure if I just got lucky or hasbro gave us an unintended compatibility blessing
It's not a coïncidence. My delta trooper feeds xshot darts too!
It's not a problem for Nerf mag blasters as far as I'm aware. The issue is the X-Shot darts are a lil bit shorter, so their mags are a bit shorter, so their mag blasters don't take Elites. But I think Nerf models are fine with the X-Shot darts.

I got the Apocalypse skinned Last Stand. Average sized guy and it's impressively comfortable. The skin idea I think is pretty neat actually. I get the idea, people do love skins when it comes to any kind of pews. Not everyone is artistic enough to paint their own, super easy way for parents to buy the same thing for multi siblings without causing drama.
Fully agree though seems like fairly thin plastic.
They should have put a tiny model of the Adventure Force Tank inside the blaster and then glued the shell shut

The Menace blaster due to its short barrel can fire short darts unmodded, and decently too
it is physically impossible t make the dread fully rotate as there is a torsion spring that flicks the barrels to exactly halfway (try it yourself... you'll see what i mean), for example my Dread (fave blaster, "malice" skin, perfectly compliments my "crucifier" flux) does this, a look at its internals proved so
Also may i just say xshot have been doing VERY WELL so far, my fluxes both have the range of a CEDA (albeit a bad one, they probably couldnt beat a caliburn though) and the dread is the most accurate thing i've ever shot, with no deviation at all during about TWENTY METRES, when compared to a nerf trailblazer which cant hit anything and has a range of less than 50 feet! Ok sure perhaps i like xshot a little too much and forget their flaws (COUGH COUGH HAWKEYE) but Xshot, whatever you're doing, KEEP DOING IT (also please bring the longshot to aus... i desperately want one)

Bret just ask for a royalty and give them a bargain we would totally buy.
It doesn't seem like much, but it's a huge difference from their guns that just had stickers.
My theory is that at some point they intended for these to be blind boxes (with some 'skins' being rarer than others) but they realized how awful that would be and backed out, leading to this weird release of a bunch of repaints at once.
