I often refer to Geoff as VoicePlay's gateway drug, as he generally is one of the bigger attractors to the group. But Layne is definitely the sleeper talent in the group- so much of VoicePlay's creative mischief seems to originate from him, and he is also the one whose arrangements push every member to surpass their vocal limitations. He and Geoff are both genius arrangers, and between those two and Eli, who can sing pretty nearly *anything* (seriously- he goes high, he covers bass lines when Geoff solos, he's smooth, he has rock grit, he has runs for days, and he can sing in full-blown character voice), they are already blessed. Throw in butter-smooth J., and Cesar with his breathy, emotional tone, and all I can say is, I sure am glad they choose to share their talents with us. Becoming a Patreon supporter of theirs was one of the best decisions I've made.

This is filmed just outside the front door of PattyCake Productions in the Oviedo Mall. They do a lot of their minis and shorts in the early morning in the mall before the stores open.

I must admit that each one of them stole the limelight in this one but it was a special delight to see the debut of their newest member: the dancing gorilla.
I watched this at least a dozen times just laughing my head off. Then I started paying close attention to the vocals and production. I really thought they brought in, as they have before, a soprano friend to do those incredibly high notes, but nope. It was Cesar. They are just amazing. Even if you aren't a gamer (I'm not), their version of Dragonborn Comes/Skyrim is shockingly good!
From what I understand this was supposed to be a mini, but they had so much fun and Layne kept getting more ideas that it became a full video. They have had to become more creative with filming as their regular camera person moved away the end of last year. They have had to film with phones and stationary tripod setups the last few vids.
I am so old that I remember when it came out and was released by The Tokens. It was probably suggested that you watch it with your girls because besides all the shenanigans going on in the background, in the movie the Lion King, Timon and Pumbaa sang that as the walking through the jungle 🦁🐒🦋🐛🦧🦍🐘
