Bishop Nikoloz of Akhalkalaki and Kumurdo of Georgia met with us in Tbilisi and talked to us about some of his memories from St. Gabriel the Fool for Christ. Metropolitan Nikoloz experienced St. Gabriel personally when he was still a student at the Theological Academy of Tbilisi, as well as later when he was a priest. He shared with us several experiences with the eccentric saint of Georgia, which still stand out in his mind and which have affected his own life and the way he looks at the world today.

A drunk man came in our church one Sunday and parishioners were perturbed so I went to the front where he was and brought him to sit with me and told him- behave, he did. I saw this same man during the week, he ask me to go dancing with him on Saturday, I said yes and he could not believe because he was outcast in our community. He died on the Friday. I believe he was an angel sent by God

Im happy many non Georgians love him. According to one of his supposed prophecies many people from all over the world will come in Georgia to escape antichrist. I think he will guide this people and that's why he became so loved. If we really are living in end times.

As an Italian who plans to move to Georgia for religious reasons, I am extremely pleased to know about this prophecy. I also know about another prophecy which states that faith in Georgia will stay strong up to the Second Coming. Is this one real too? All of this perfectly coincides with the personal spiritual path I’ve undertook since last July, which in the end made my accept Orthodox Christianity, and in my opinion that’s not casual. I do believe our Lord Jesus Christ is saving the pious’ souls and directing them to one of the last lands on Earth that are illuminated by His light, as we approach the end times (and indeed there are a lot of signs that hint we are close to them).
@@pierlucaloreto6774 according to saint Gabriel the persecution of Antichrist will be in Georgia too but the evil one won't win. It does not mean Georgia will be safe place physically but it is safe spiritually. Orthodox Christian always must be ready for Martyrdom. Since such thing may await us it's better if we will be together during it.
I want to move to Belarus. Anywhere Russian is spoken, I've been learning the Russian language since inquiring into the Orthodox Christian Church.

My soul has been rejuvenated by the depth of eastern prayers, the prostrations, the Divine Liturgy, all of it. Your channel has been very informative as I learn more about the eastern Church. Byzantine Roman Catholic connected to the pope are, counterfeit because the papacy excommunicated the rest of the church in 1054, becoming free of being answerable to their brother bishops. So the first reformation happened by Rome's pride 😢😲😞 Please return yourself, and come HOME. Come and see and discover what Rome threw away.
Respectfully, know that the Orthodox Church alone has the fullness of revealed truth and is the true Church.
The Byzantine Catholic church only has an outward appearance of Orthosox christianity. It is not blessed by Grace as it is counterfeit and its dogma is catholic not orthodox.
@JB808 The above comments speak the truth. I am very happy that our channel has helped you, but the answer does not lie in what is essentially a counterfeit "eastern rite" tradition. The "eastern rite" was created (and this is historically acknowledged) to trick people in orthodox countries into joining the church of old Rome. I don't say any of this to hurt you but rather to help you; it isn't enough to dress, look and sound Orthodox, but becoming Orthodox should be the goal.

Fascinating, inspiring... course correcting.
The story about the candlestick and overwhelming joy is great! The Church is certainly represented by candlesticks. This is especially true in the Book of Revelations where the risen Christ walks among the Candlesticks that are His Churches. But the Church is not an institution or a building. It is the people who assemble to love and worship Christ. They are the candlesticks; enlightened by the touch of the Holy Spirit and the "fool for Christ" was certainly one of these.

Im Maronite Catholic . Just to see his holy eyes makes me cry and pierces my soul . I hope to have the blessing to go to Georgia and kiss his tomb . With the piece of paper stuck on his head who could forget such a sight . I wish our priests would crack the whip with us sheep . We all need tough love in these rebellious times .
Joy is a spiritual gift which is not dependent on worldly circumstances . One can be happy in good circumstances but if these become negative we become unhappy . Joy is constant a gift from God to those who suffer for Christ .
Through the saints the schism is is cast aside . Glory to God in all his saints in all the churchs unified in heaven but still suffering on earth .

St.Gabriel was not garbage. He was a treasure, a diamond in the rough. I remember his chapel.

That was the story. The person was mad that saint Gabriel helped the "bad" guy escape, and saint Gabriel and the storyteller moved on. Haha. It was as simple as that. His eminence doesn't tell us if the saint told the angry person anything or explained why he did it.

Hi. Keep the lake of fire în your mind more. Its a real lake of fire not a symbolic one. God have His life so that you may not end up there. Value yourself more and think of how your parents raised you or whoever raised you. For them, God and yourself fight against your temptations. You are not alone. Fight, fight, dont stop fighting for we only have a little more time and nobody knows when they die. May you find the courage to stand against this wasteful tendencies. I try fighting too and fail many times but we have to try harder.
