In fact they get bashed and tortured for not developing soon or if the JB is unstable in early versions. There is no incentive anymore. combined with apple strengthening kernel, its dying out soon

There are high end H4ckers that are giving away their exploits to Apple for some cash easy cash since the bounty program started,, so it makes it a lot harder to jailbreak these days because the best Devs have given up or sold there exploits. But it’s getting very tiring doing this with a very small community compared to what we used to have !! Less exploits to work off of . I would also argue that Apple implementing ideas from the jailbreak scene contributed to the decline. I used to jailbreak for tweaks like IntelliScreen X, Callbar XS, Noctis12, Winterboard/Anemone, or Tweaked ++ apps. Now, we have Control Centre. Dark mode. Themed app packs can be installed, or individually created through the Shortcuts app. Tweaked apps can also be sideloaded. Apart from a few use cases. Jailbreaking just isn’t that appealing anymore.
Another reason is Jailbreak devs are switching developed for Apple or other tech companies were the money is now, when l had collected a bounty on ios 12, a lot of the names of people collecting bounties were ex jailbreak and tweak devs.
Honestly it feels like the only options are to: stick with an old version os ios, hope that new versions that can't be jailbreaked have the featurespecially you wanted, or just switch to android

Everyone knows that the lower the iOS version the higher chance % of getting a functional JB if people are constantly updating and upgrading devices then they have zero right to voice complaints

Lets not forget Apple Bounty Program, a dev nowdays prefers to sell the exploit to Apple or te highest bidder and be done with it instead of creating a complete jailbreak environment tool to rely on donations, for me its a shame current jailbreak community is mostly gone, innovation is always key, iOS would not be were it is without tweaks in the first place, and newer generations will not know the OS freedom that jailbreaking gave to many of us.

I’m running iOS 17.1.1 and every time I get very unlucky because my phone will break and I have to replace it and it’s never in stock iOS it’s always an upgraded version
Jailbreak is suffering there's no funding to compensate the developers for their time/efforts. If they charge/demand a small fee there will be outrage and a possible lawsuit buy Apple. Being able to side-load 3 modded apps (RUclips, FaceBook, Instagram) at a time and refresh every 7 days is suffice.
Honestly when I first got into jailbreaking around iOS 11 days it was pretty cool now I’m on Winrain jb and tbh it’s boring as hell I barely open the tweak stores anymore I be forgetting I’m even jailbroken sometimes 😂🤣

No. Jailbreaking will never die because Apple has not added native BitTorrent support in iOS or iPadOS for personal/ private iCloud backups and archiving. Until then users continue to jailbreak their devices to be free of the jail that is ytube content distribution.
C'mon. Apple got smart and hired all the jailbreakers. If they didn't go to Apple, they're working for the government or cyber security making tons of money. You hire these guys and you take them out of the loop and that's how jailbreaking is dying.
Start small by learning how to make simple iOS apps. You can't begin doing this kind of work without understanding how the platform works and how its components interact.

For a few reasons, it's gotten harder to JB as you mention and software wise we can do more of the stuff we wanted to JB for in the first place. :)
