A super great and citron fresh review! Loved seeing you both doing a great job. I think this is one that would be great for me in the spring and summer. Bravo Bros!
Colin Benfield Thanks! That makes a lot more sense now! ^_^ lol I swear I looked it up on google translate and remember it being translated as cedar. I just double-checked, and it says "citron". haha. Translation aside, it really is good. :D
I love this fragrance. It literally comes of like a strong lime gin and tonic on me. Especially here in Vegas this is a must have to me. I can't believe it took me so long to try it
Just blind bought this and sprayed it on my arm today...and actually laughed out loud it made me so happy. Uh-MAZING scent. Going to wear the crap out of it this summer. BTW are you doing a review of Orange Sanguine soon?
Great video and as always I LOVE when Jer is around. And just an FYI: Sanguine means blood (literally), so if it was called Lime Sanguine it would be Lime Blood...which doesn't work. Orange Sanguine is called that because it smells like Blood Orange (which is notable for its almost raspberry like taste and...sort of smell).
BCandSL62309 thanks for that! That's a big help. I assumed (without verifying) that Sanguine was translated as a similar definition to the English word meaning "cheerful", which it smells like to me. So your explanation makes a lot of sense since it's supposed to have blood orange in it. I suppose it could also be a play on words to mean both "cheerful orange" and "blood orange" if the French word has an alternate definition like the English does. I still wish that they named this something closer to Orange Sanguine so people could identify with the scent from the title. :)
You very well may be right in your thoughts of an alternate meaning. I was just going off what I know about the food world and such (as it occasionally does creep into the world of perfumery). I think basically sanguine meaning red or blood is the "literal" meaning, but it has since warped into meaning cheerful and that kind of thing. I guess we'd have to ask them if it was intentional!
Brooklyn Fragrance Lover haha! I need to revisit it. I do really like this house. I need to test and review more from them. Too bad they won't answer my dang emails! :(
hahaha that beat dropin by Jerr :D and that face at 11:49 lmao.. he's fckin great... That whole final scene is like overall picture of your way of reviewing.. Daver just reading something, doin he's thing and finally ready to work while Jerr is just goofing around, lauhging at him self and droping beats becouse he's bored ... :D
@Jer: So you do get that "mojito vibe" from CE. @ Daver: pour a glass of Tropicana OJ, before you drink it, inhale deeply from the glass, then spritz some OS on your arm and inhale deeply, I think you will begin to spot similarities. @Talia: please make up your mind, I like it I like it not, I like it I like it not...
Is this an old upload? Seeing as he mentions his trip to PR in April, I'd assume it was from maybe a year ago, but then again maybe it was a speedy trip there and back....
MrScotch16 thanks. I actually did look it up, but because I didn't have the accent on it, google translate didn't know what it was. But I added an annotation that thanks people for correcting us.
