Also a really close choice would be the Amana model which sells for 300 and has a Porcelain tub and a dual action adj and I think would wash with the same performance as this one!
William I was thinking the same thing??? But that's because the book was dry, I bet if the book was soaked with water it would of not pick up the speed that it did and just kept going off balance???
If the book was soaked the washer would not pick up speed and keep going off balance I believe the phone book did get wet a little bit when the washer started.
I have a theory but I may be wrong, It's bad for a machine to spin hard when the seals are dry. Even Speed Queen's instruction manual says to pour a couple of gallons of water before you first start your machine.
A dry solid load has no movement at all. Wet heavy clothes, as the machine starts ramping up to speed cause the unbalance if the weight is not spread out quickly it will become unbalanced.
The more you review this washer, the more you make it worth buying. Fantastic work as always Kirk.
Kirk thank you for posting this Gem Handled that phone book with ease!
yes it appears on the HD website but it is not on the floor as of yet

I think if they are sellers they will continue and the Maytag model is a bit more flexable!
This washer can handle a phone book without stopping the cycle but the 3 jeans and 3 towels where the machine went off balance twice.

That was pretty badass!
1:11 This can be a meme “You Know What Locks My Doors”.
It was hilarious that the thing went out of balance so much that the lid slammed itself! XD XD XD
1:13 the first time i heard you laughing!
It still makes me laugh, I had the coin ready to do a balance test. The machine shook so bad that it ate the coin.
Why does the water turn on in the very beginning like that?

RIP to anyone's filters at 1:10
I could never put some book in a washing machine.
What would you use this cycle for anyways? Just get your clothes wet?
This is why i love maytag
This is a whirlpool, not a maytag
