  • On August 26 2024, the Diaspora African Forum (DAF) hosted Jeffrey Alan Peck, the great-grandson of civil rights icon and Pan-Africanism pioneer Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois in a grand ceremony to honor his ancestor by placing his name on the revered Sankofa Wall. This historic event was held at the DAF Embassy in Accra, Accra.
The Sankofa Wall is a remarkable tribute to his memory as he lays in rest with Shirley Chisolm, Rosa Parks, Chadwick Boseman, Harry Belafonte, Breonna Taylor among other luminaries on the wall. His groundbreaking contributions to racial equality and social justice solidified his place in the ongoing narrative of African heritage and unity cannot be forgotten.
This event marked a historic occasion not just for the Du Bois family, but for the global African diaspora.
