PEV are great for crawling through the woods because they don't burn fuel unless you're actually on the throttle and when you tip over they don't leak gas - the main problem is surprising wildlife but you're crashing through enough brush that they're getting a lot of early notice.

Did you ever had any problem of water damage on Ebike? How resilient are the motor and controller for water emersion?
