The actor playing Pontius Pilate is Michael Palin, who later went on to make a number of travel shows. Which is why his name, and photograph, featured heavily in the "An Idiot Abroad" in Egypt episode that you recently reacted to.
lol not even started watching this yet and have to type thanks and brilliant sketch. I know you'll love it, one of my old favs. Monty Python was as much a part of growing up for many of us of that era as spots on the face! :D Cheers JJ!
I believe the extras were told they aren’t allowed to laugh or they wouldn’t be paid for the day. Of course they were paid regardless if they laughed or not because they wanted to capture genuine laughter. It makes for a truly brilliant comedic scene.
Sounds like the "Try Not To Laugh" challenges all over RUclips lol... I can se where it would make it even harder to keep from laughing... Thanks for watching!
The story goes, that when they were filming the first scene, the extras playing the guards were told that if they laughed, they wouldn't get paid for the day. This way they would try extra hard to not laugh. They did get their pay ;)
"Stwike him Cenuwion. Vewy Woughly!" I've seen quite a few of these reaction videos and not everyone gets the speech impediment bit! Michael Palin played a blinder here. The genius of this is the number of times they were able to insert words containing the letter "r" (and later, the letters "s/c") into the scwipt! 😉😉
Incontinentia Buttocks sounds like an American affliction. So many stories about anal leakage. Even my mate who just returned got it from some pain killers after an accident.
I had a teacher in electronics class in high school who could not pronounce "r" either it was a nightmare for him we eventually got used to it But that sound was in everything electron Proton resistor Regulator Radio
I'm going to have to rent that one from YT so I can react to it... There's a free version that I found but I checked a little bit of it and it's so faded you can barely see parts of it. Thanks for watching!
I've watched this movie for at least 50 times, and since I'm not from an english speaking country (I'm from Croatia), I always turned off the subtitle on Biggus Dickus scene, because I understand english very well, and don't want to spoil the scene with a stupid croatian translation, because that was translated by total ignorant.
This film wasn't showing in the North East of England (religious nuts complaining)at the time so my and my wife (girlfriend at the time) went down to London to see it Wo nderful ! (His speech impediment is a lisp)
your quick uptake and perception of British humour is admirable Jay
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
I spat my beer out when you said "spiwit" 😂😂
LOL 😂😂 Thanks for watching!
Bwian hey? Little waskel has spirit!
Spiwit sir!😂👍
Thanks for watching!😂👍
You need to watch the whole film. It's a classic.
I may try that... It would definitely be a LONG reaction lol... Thanks for watching!
Imo the best one!

You would be surprised at how many of your countrymen don’t pick up on his R impediment. Glad you enjoyed it.
I noticed it straight away. I had that exact problem as a kid. I couldn’t say R. It always sounded like W

That Pontius Pilate has "Elmer Fudd" syndrome.
Absolutely incwedible 😂✌🐦.
😁Thanks for watching!

Yeah, that seems to be a side effect of more and more medications these days lol... Thanks for watching!
Been very funny to me since 1979 wen the film came out. The facial expressions are hilarious. Well-crafted comedy
Thanks for watching!

An interesting fact. The medical term for someone who can't pronounce their R's is rhotacism.
I knew there was a term for it, I just couldn't remember what it was. Thanks! Thanks for watching!
Don't you mean wotacism?
@soylentgreenb LOL
@@soylentgreenbHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Congwats on 4k, bwother! 🤘🤘

Short tongued jay.
Thanks for watching!
He's speaking with a lisp on purpose.
KNOTIUS NOT NORIUS. YOU SEEM TO HAVE A SPEAKING IMPEDIMENT TOO. BRITISH SAY THE LETTER "T" CORRECTLY
Nah... It's more of a hearing issue with me.. I probably just heard it wrong since I'm mostly deaf on one side
