    In this video Andrew makes the long hike up to a high alpine lake in search of cutthroat trout and isn't disappointed! After he arrives he immediately sees some trout cruising and begins casting at them. Before long he is catching fish seemingly under every rock. In fact he catches so many fish that he runs out of SD card space on his GoPro and is forced to fish the remainder of the day without recording. Now that is a lot of fish!!
    Rod Used: Renegade Fly Rods Black Series 8'4" 3 wt.
    Reel Used: Renegade Black Series Reel
    I hope you guys enjoy this high alpine lake adventure and the latest installment of Hardman Fishing Adventures West!

    A dream of a fishing day. The number of fish, their size and…oh my gosh…those unbelievable stunning colours! The solitude of that gorgeous alpine lake with that grassy “beach”, those trout caught in those small hidden corners in that beautiful creek at the head of the lake…a dream…can you get any better than that?!

    Well, it's going to be 110 here for the weekend and I certainly won't be going fishing ANYWHERE around these parts. So watching you fish this incredible spot was really a nice tonic for the old fisher's soul. I can't think of ever seeing a more beautiful place coupled with better fishing. Thank you.

    Hardman Fishing Adventures West is back again! Great trout fishing. I did that at a small lake near Lake Tahoe years ago. But those trout were so darned weary they wouldn't take a single fly. Frustrating seeing those big boys hanging out laughing it my presentations. 😡

    When you’re fighting the fish, why do you pull out line?

    • @HB-bc5po
      @HB-bc5po Год назад

      He's not pulling OUT line, he's pulling IN line. Left hand is the "line hand" it manipulates the fly line when casting and retrieving a fly or streamer etc. it's not uncommon to bring in smaller fish by pulling in the fly line. Larger fish are more typically put "on the reel" and retrieved more like a spinning or bait casting reel.

    Why do you pull line off a already nice tight reel when playing fish off the reel- seems unnecessary
