Stick to your bike dude. It’s a fantastic machine you’re riding !!! People buy bikes for the wrong reasons. Be smart , and enjoy life riding safely !👍👍👍👍
You cannot go wrong with this bike. The style is attractive and the speed is great for everyday riding and stock sound is good. It has all the bells and whistles you need to have fun with this bike. Congrats on your new bike 😎
I had this exact black bike brand new 2018, I loved the bike except the clip-ons/handle bar is too high, too upright. It felt weird sitting so straight up with your bike on a sport bike looking like this. Felt weird and looked weird. Also being 2 meters tall with a riding position like this, I ate all the wind and the wind protection sucked. If this bike had the riding position of maybe the H2SX , Ducati Supesport 950 or the BMW S1000R I would have kept this Ninja 1000SX for sure.
Yeah I can see that. Even for me the bike was great. When I rode on a H2SX it was more engaging and not having a lot of wind in my face. But it was for those who wanted something big but still have the less aggressive position right? I upgraded to a ZX-10R and I’m surprised how the position on this bike is. Similar to the H2SX maybe a bit more aggressive. But the bike is longer than you average sport bike so it made it more comfortable on longer rides.
@@NoTouchyAndy the H2SX is semi aggressive, it is between a supersport bike like the ZX-10R and the Ninja 1000SX or Z1000SX as it was named before, so in between of a naked bike and a trackbike like the ZX-10R. Sporty enough to still feel sporty and aggressive but still comfortable. If the Ninja 1000SX is like 8 degrees forward lean on your back, and the ZX-10R is 30 % forward lean on your back, the H2SX is somewhere in between like 20 degrees forward lean, perfect for long distance touring while still sporty
i’m 45. i have a honda cbrf650. same thing not into old man bikes... lol. i really want the bike you have. touring 1000cc. easy on the back and body. only thing i would do is get rid of the hideous exhaust.
I’m still learning RUclips. It’s fun learning what can get popular or not. I didn’t expect this video to get where it is at now. But I love everyone’s support and motivating me to make videos and learning to edited them better 😊
Hi Andy, just wondering how tall are you? Also how much do you weigh? I am looking for a bike for quite a while now. I recently sat on a 2023 ninja sx 1000 and at first I was thinking I was maybe a little to big for it. I'm 6'1 and I weigh 281. Another thing I was worried about was, I have a size 13 foot.
Hey Charlie! I am 6’ and when I bought the bike I was 265 wearing size 12 shoes. Your measurements are slightly larger than me. But from my experience I felt it was comfortable. I believe there a seat upgrade where the seat is thicker for taller people. I haven’t upgraded my seat but that was a feature that attracted me when I was researching this bike. Hope this helps 😎
@@NoTouchyAndy Thank you for the feedback Andy. For at least the past few years I thought I had made up my mind for the africa twin 1100. I think I've found my dream bike now.
I started out on a 650 as well, will always look back fondly on her. One aesthetic mod I did to the bike, which you can also do on the 1000s if you might be interested, is I bought some tinted turn signal housing units on Amazon, then to compensate for reduced visibility, I swapped out the incandescent bulbs for led units. Especially with your black bike, it’d look so sweet 👌 Side note, I almost made that exact upgrade myself when getting my now current bike. The 1000 is such a natural progression up if you like the 650 but just want a bit more power. I was curious to try out a different body style completely though so I ended up snatching up a naked bike. Those Ninjas are sweet bikes though aren’t they. You ever take any day or weekend trips on your ride? I used to do that on my 650 and it handled that duty beautifully.
Naked bikes are popular and I can see benefits of having one. Especially when you don’t have to worry much about the fender. The style hasn’t been appealing to me yet 😂. I do need to make some upgrades to the 1000 like for led turn signals and a better looking exhaust lol. Did you get yourself a Yamaha, Suzuki?
@@NoTouchyAndy I picked up a BMW F900r. They had just come out when I was in the market and was lured in by all the electronics and gizmos 😋 Sportbikes will always look sexier to me but one nice thing about naked s is that everything is exposed making for quick oil changes and such. I used to hate changing the oil on my Ninja 650 just because of the plastics and how they often overlaid one another. Minor annoyance really, but I can be a lazy ass at times lol
I currently have a 2021 650 ninja but I really like the 1000, I think you have convinced me to get the 1000. I mean, you would agree the 1000 is solid and if you like the 650 then 1000 will be good yea?
It will all depend on how you enjoyed the 650. If you want something as an upgrade to the 650, the 1000sx will be a great choice. But if you feel you want speed or want to swing to a different brand motorcycle you can go that route too. For me, the 1000sx is a great choice for an everyday rider and not breaking my back with a sport bike look. 😀
I picked up the 2022 ninja 1000sx, first steer bike.. I’ve alway been on the dirt bikes but I’m pretty happy .. if you can do some vids on mods that would be help full. Exhaust , slides even tunes.. good luck Man!
Do you mind if I ask you how long did you have to wait to get your 22 model? I am hearing from dealers (in the land of Kawasaki) the wait is anywhere up to if not longer than 6 months.
That sounds crazy! For my 21 I got it at the dealership lot. It was the only one I could find in my area. I would try looking at CycleTrader and see if one might be available near you.
@@graemegoode4696 my 1000 sx was in stock, I was waiting for the 623 ninja and a buddy talked me into the 1000. Said I’d be happier with the bigger bike especially if I have a passenger. No lies there I’m happy with it . I think I had is two Days before I tapped it out at 150.
@@NoTouchyAndy yeah I would have liked the green on my bike better that gray and black but still happy .. I just ordered the GR muffler out of the uk. Hopefully its bad ass!
@@NoTouchyAndy For the record I liked the music! I'm also looking at this bike. At 6'2 I should probably throw my leg over one to get an idea if I can fit on it. Do you find the riding position comfortable?
Hey! I would say this. The 650 is more forgiving than the 1000sx. Depending on your skills. I would always recommend 650 first before going 1 liter bike. Plus it will give you a chance to see where you want to be in the motorcycle world. Sport bike, sport tour, cruise, cafe, etc. but that’s just my opinion. 😎
Thanks Luis! I’ll do my best! Ride safe and smart bro! When I rode the 650 it was very forgiving. With the 1000SX it gives little room for that. But always remember ride your own ride! Be safe.
@@NoTouchyAndy I am looking to pull the trigger on one soon. Most reviews are from experienced reviewers just test riding the bike. Wondering what the average person thinks about owning it.
That depends on what type you like. Comparing with a sport bike with a sport tour. If you like a neutral sitting and longer ride 1000sx. But if you like the engaging sport bike the Honda. But I don’t know too much about the Honda’s specs. Hope this helps 😎

Keep it up bro, I also upgraded the same way. I had a 2021 ninja 650 that I sold to buy an STI but then I got myself a 2012 Ninja 1000sx
