I literately at this skate park (in Austin) this morning learning how to skate the bowl. I was hoping there was a video out there giving some good techniques. CRAZY that the video I was looking for is of the exact bowl I was skating! haha
50 years old ,I have been longboarding for awhile now but have not been riding any Vert or bowls since 17 y/o .I want to do it again .I am in great shape and still athletic .Just need to get going on this . Thanks for the info .I Needed a refresher. Just subscribed
@@NeverStopImprovingSB If you'd like to venture into Vert or Slalom Skating feel free to reach out to me. Love to have you out sor a session at Maggie's Ramp.
Bro!!!!! You!!!!! You are the one!!!! THEEE ONE!!!!! Pumping finally makes sense to me!!!! Cant wait to try it out after healing from my ankle injury! Bro! Love you man!!!!!! #muchlove #suchappreciates
Great video, great inspiration! Can I ask you how tall are you and what deck size and wheelbase do you use? I have a powell peralta 30'' x 10'' with a 15.75" wb but sometimes I think a longer deck and a longer wheelbase would be better 🤔 Thanks a lot for sharing your videos. Paolo from Italy
NSI Skateboarding [Justin Lauria] Hi Justin, can you give me some tips on the timing of this pumping in a bowl ,for me is not working so well, on the others in pumptrack it so easy ,why that?
The looking thing totally makes sense. I was riding a snake bowl did the first time yesterday, and I kept stalling at the turn around part because I was looking straight ahead instead of towards the other end of the turn 🙈
Nice video ! I prefer to keep my backfoot more on the board than you personnally because one day I landed a backside air in your foot position and I did the best Split you could ever see in a skateboarding life lol
Hello love your video, I have always struggled to generate speed at the bowl corners, do you simply straighthen your legs while you pump at the corners?
My interpretation: Corner entry: extend legs, unweight the board Corner exit: bend legs, add weight to the board Correct me if I misunderstood that, thx
I know how to drop in on a 2ft talk ramp but dang when i look down the bowl it's so steep compared to my 2 ft ramp. Any tips on how to drop in on steeper drops or just generally help me overcome the fear and drop in
Stomp as hard as you can, lean forward, wear a helmet. Something that helps is going like oh I have a helmet I’ll be fine, plus falling down it doesn’t hurt too much
Yeah I'm glad u said that I was watching my pro friend and it looks like he doing three pumps like us said,to me he's just pulling speed out of know where I'm just so freaking jealous because u really good when u can carve fast, and it looks so damn fun too
Also I feel like this tutorial opened my eyes to what I've been doing wrong while pumping in a bowl. It's like a pattern and I should pump in the pockets and make sure I time it right. Thank you for this. Can't wait to go back to the skatepark after Covid-19
So smooth, so pro, always an inspiration, great ch for newbies, thanks for all your content, I watch them all.
Thanks so much for the kind words!
super content for newbies like me!
@@NeverStopImprovingSB I also got to say that you can personally teach new skaters
You're like to dislike ratio is insane and it reflects how great your content is, great vid
They're actually not dislikes. It's an upside down like button.

No need to worry about this anymore

That's awesome!
House park is the best park in Texas
I was just at a small park in north austin!
My park is basically just 2 big ass bowls so this helps
Wait macedonia 🇲🇰?
Mines only one bowl and one grind.
I feel your pain.
Mine has a smaller one that's like 2 to 3 feet and right next to It is like an 8 foot one I looked at It and said
"Nah I rather not die today"
Thankyou, finally someone actually teaches this and the arrows and numbers were helpful

The best video on RUclips about carving. Very detailed
Thank you for not making me feel like a Big Dummy for pushing my way into bowls
Lots of great tips. Thank you.
I already know how to gain and maintain speed pretty well. Still love this video bro!
That's really cool, thanks for the comment homie 🤙
Exactly what i need to know. Thanks!
This is what I need , because my timing is off while carving bowls and lose speed . I’ll try this and see , thanks!
Just what I needed too. Now it has to stop raining so I can if it a go!
This was very helpful. Thanks, Justin.
Austin! Love it. Come up to Northeast Metro skatepark. Also a good spot. Just subscribed. Great info...learning this as we speak.

In my own mind, sure 😆
Awesome video instructions!

It's good to get a nice stretch in every once in a while but I think you're overdoing it :p
another superb tutorial thanks again :)
Thank you!

amazing video!
Very helpful dude, thank you! Also, that Adio banner is a sick throwback. I wish I could still get a pair of Wray V4's or Bam V2's
Finally, someone who speaks my language!
Cool, I am learning how to skate a big bowl and I am not sure but I think I got it down
What park is this and where is it because I’m in cali and this looks so fun
austin, tx

Great, now I need to front side pivot.
You better get it, homie!
Thank you man🙏

So true, going fast is one of the best feelings in the world!
Omg this is so helpful!!!
Thanks so much I can now impress all the older kids at the skatepark every time I tried it I just slowed down and fell off
i did learn something thank you
how do you fix dipping in the clam?
How do you get out of it? I launch myself and the board stays at the bottom.
Thanks bro
Thank you!
Still cannot time the pumping correctly. Same with Ollie, I can’t time the jump with the pop. I will keep trying but damn it’s so hard
LOVE ITTTT
Glad you dig it :)
Wish I could like this video twice or thrice even
How do you carve bowls with a door to enter???
If you're really good, you can carve over the door, but for someone just starting out, you might want to avoid that spot for now :)
Is this house park??
Yup!
what size of deck ?
8.75"
Is it weird that I prefer to carve frontside and not backside?
Nope, that's awesome!
Thanks. 😄😄😄😄

House park?
and Brushy Creek in Cedar Park :)
He looks like the security guard in skate 3
What park is this?
House Park in Austin, TX
Why do I struggle with this so much
Its my first time skating bro
Thanks bruz
@@owenfindlay8952 you must be a beast by now
🤙🏾👊🏾🤙🏾👊🏾
Haha get it bro! 💪
It’s a hell of a lot more scary in real life
No it's fine you just have to pump your legs whole going 10 mlp on a skateboard with the risk of falling on your knees. You'll live lmao
How to smoke bowls
Great now I just need s bowl
Austin
Hey Justin
Yo!!
Justin Lauria Skateboarding how are you
Please stop raining so I can try some of your tips!!
Repping house park
I skated a bowl twice
Austin tx
Represent!!
That bowl looks a lot bigger in person
It’s fucking massive in person lol, when i used to skate house park i never went near it cause of how big it is
good video but i hope you have toned it down on the intro after these years
ya that intro went away
This Video fucked up my internal gyroscope
Haha it's good preparation for what it's going to feel like when you get to the pool 😂
Please set the helmet example! too many kids getting their heads smashed for no reason. Great video otherwise
I wish 'Do as I say, not as I do' was enough, but I know it's not. Good call man
Blink more
Are you still alive?
I got an adult job, so mostly not any more
Dude this was a fantastic tutorial! Subbed. Come check out some of our edits and how to videos and let us know what you think man.
Subbed back homie! Love your presentation style 👊👊
Justin Lauria Skateboarding thank you man!
First
When you go around the corner you actually lose momentum since momentum is a vector. You gain speed tho. 😉sorry for being pedantic
