- There was something in the air that night - when the greatest ABBA songs gave Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and an all star cast the greatest movie musical of all time - Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is the ABBA-inspired sequel complete with Dancing Queens and Kings aplenty including Amanda Seyfried, Dominic Cooper, Lily James, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard, Jeremy Irvine, Julie Walters, Celia Imrie and Cher!
Joining the cast for two UK press conferences for Mamma Mia 2 were Andy Garcia, Hugh Skinner, Christine Baranski, Jessica Keenan Wynn and Alexa Davis. The story is by Richard Curtis, it was written and directed by Ol Parker, based on Judy Craymer and Catherine Johnson’s original musical and, of course the music of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad of ABBA.

In this sequel to Mamma Mia!, Sophie learns about her mother's past while pregnant herself. Discover Donna's (Meryl Streep, Lily James) young life, experiencing the fun she had with the three possible dads of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried). Sophie is now pregnant. Like Donna, she'll be a young mother, and she realizes that she'll need to take risks like her mother did.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is released in the UK on the 20th of July.

They got very close during the movie. At the premiere when they were taking pictures of Cher and Amanda went over they hugged each other. You could tell there was a lot of warmth there. They couldn’t stop talking to each other.

She is fantastic, I have always loved her
I noticed that too. Her voice is soothing and she is quite articulate. Amanda has a great beautiful voice but she oftentimes can't express herself very well. Lily on the other hand is very witty and smart with her answers.

I’ve watched every interview I could find on both Mama Mia’s. The only thing I don’t like about the second one is it seemed like Amanda was pushed to the background during the premiere. Amanda’s my girl. Even Meryl said how moved she was watching Amanda’s performance. She was the heart of the movie
When Amanda and Meryl sang My Love My Life at the end I cried so much. They are so good together

I love that to, it seems how Cher would see someone she hadn’t seen in Decades, and give the same reaction, it was perfect, I was very happy to see Cher joined the crew, unexpected, but wonderful, even as Grandma who kicked Donna out when she got pregnant, when I’m thinking Fernando was Donna’s father ? A guess, but it has to be…almost… and super glad to see Meryl in it, what a great fun surprise.
Truth be told Cher is the only draw for us. Sure the other ladies are lovely but she is the watchable, wonderful one.

Did anyone notice the inconsistency in the movie when in the first film Donna is telling Tonya and Rosie that she told them it was Sam the architect but that she actually didn't know for sure because there were 2 other men involved at the same time. And Tonya says Donna you shady lady. And they ask why donna never told them before and she said that she thought that she would never have to because she would never have imagined all 3 of them would be in her old goat house. In the 2nd movie, Tonya and Rosie obviously know about all 3 men! They acted shocked in the first movie like they had no idea there were 2 other men around at that time. How would they forget when they were there!

My Mom got us into old movies, than she would hide the T.V. Guide because a Bogart or a Kathrine Hepburn, or Ginger Rodgers and Fred Astaire, or so many others, but Mom and I watched Momma Mia a lot of times, we had go to movies Momma Mia and The Last Holiday, I lost Mom in 2015 and she did not get to see the second one, and I know she would have loved it, I’ll play it and call her, see if she wants to come visit and watch Momma Mia Here we go again with me, I hope she does come.
