Screwpop Uncle Ron Utility knife has been the best EDC utility knife. I’ve had mind since 2017 but I recently got a new one for a friend and they aren’t built like they used to be. Still great design and cheap!
How stiff is the lock? Do you think it could get knocked to “unlock” banging against a set of keys in your pocket if you carry it just hanging out in there?
A Chapman Mfg. driver bit fits into the Otacle quite well (though goes in deep and most of bit sticking out the back when in place). This corrects the floating driver situation, and their bits are a cut above most, if not all, I have ever used. No I don’t work for Chapman. I just really like their bits for non-motorized fastener work.

Very good design and sturdy

When you turn it to “locked” it physically tightens down to the steel scale, so it can be made very secure if you snug it up every time.

I’ve only heard great things about Chapman so that makes sense to me
That would be good for office type work where you receive shipments and use it to cut box tape. Managers tool.
Man they gotta figure out a way to make changing the blade more efficient than that.
It’s about as clunky as the Gerber EAB. There are much better ways to go about blade exchange. The “Pro” model is super simple
Yeah I'm not buying proprietary blades unless they are a proprietary shape. I'll get the pro version.
It's not proprietary, the blades just aren't as popular as standard utility blades with no holes.
@@TheGreatAristo they are proprietary. You can't use blades with no holes on this knife because it needs the holes to lock the blade into place.
Really not a fan of the blade removal, little bit of adhesive on my blade and that thing is not sliding out of there. Good video.
Proprietary utility blades are a really bad idea
The Otacle design is to look like a lion.
Oknifemininpry bar flat head screwdriver and 6.35 mmhex key the unique lion shape easy flat style 🎉
bad screw position
it's a shame they did this stupid design that you need to use proprietary blade that's a big deal breaker for me .
It’s proprietary?? Where do you get the blades
It’s not full proprietary it’s not standard blades but there is some you can get at lows that work
@@TheInvisibleOrange26, where?
Do you know if standards SK2 works?
Many thanks.
