I once tried this with sprite and 7-up. I was SO SURE one was a lot better. And then I was told, I had 2 glasses of the same drink. Damn.
Same goes for coke&pepsi ..many people are so sure to taste the difference, but when given 2 glass of the same no-name brand cola, they still think to know what is what

I do know. Taste, like all other senses, varies from person to person. Some people can taste a lot finer nuances than others, so don't be too quick to call BS. I'm not saying it's a good thing, though. Usually it's not... Because the primary difference is how sensitive one is to bitterness. I can confirm that Coke is more bitter than Pepsi!
Not even saying one's better than the other. If I'm having a drink to go with food, I much prefer Coke. Without anything to chew along with it, I like Pepsi more, because of the less distinctive aftertaste. Got a bottle of each in my fridge.

Casey B when mixed with high temperatures some of the ingredients in the plastic cause a chemical reaction that releases carcinogens (what causes cancer) into the water. Sadfully, this is not only found in plastic water bottles.

It's not "artisan water", it's _artesian_. From an artesian well, named after the Artois province in France, where monks drilled a bunch of them.

Tommy, my friend: something very important. The bottle can influence a lot the taste of the water. In my homeland, Brazil, I love Evian. Here in Germany I hate it. I used to drink this water from this specific supermarket, and they changed the bottle, I can't stand it now! So... don't be surprise if "fancy" waters taste kind weird, or if you have your favourite water in the future and feel like spitting it. It's all about the bottle.

I'm a supertaster (yes that's a real thing) and I've always preferred Aquafina, which tastes clean and slightly sweet to me. Nestle tastes like tap water and Ice Mountain has a distinctly unpleasant taste that makes it virtually undrinkable for me.

I don't know if I'm technically a supertaster, but I have sensory processing disorder, which heightens my taste considerably, and I can't stand 90% of bottled water at all. It all tastes distinctly sharp and bitter and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Tap water is okay for me but still the drink equivalent of sweetened cardboard.

Should have done tap water too. It's the best for us and our planet. Bottled water is really hard on our environment and so unnecessary!

Hi Tommy! I thought of something. When you take a leaf and place a paper over it and lightly draw with a pen, the contours of the leaf show up on the paper. So if you bulid flat things maybe you could transer them to paper and sort of draw that way instead. Don't know if that a good idea or not. But that way you could make a circle out of some sort of wire and then draw a perfect circle on a paper. Love your vids! Hugs from Rebecka

What I find matters most (aside from temperature) is what vessel the water's in. Water tastes best from a mug to me!

In Sweden we have this system where we have drinking water coming from taps in every home. It works great!

Hearing the challenge and finding how different water can really taste,I thought it was handled superb. To even remotely tell the mineral difference between infused purified water, spring water, and artisan waters is awesome- The more local a spring the spring water is from the better.
The added minerals for taste in them probably made some brands of purified water just as tasty as spring water.
The palate difference between distilled and spring is noticeable, not that much else is.
There is a beep when you the answer right, and a buzz when you get it wrong, but I'm assuming that those were added post production. You respond right away when it beeps or buzzes, but I am really interested in knowing what signal you really received while it was being filmed to know if you got it right or wrong.
I was thinking either that, or you would slightly nudge him under the table with your foot. Thanks for answering, it's sort of interesting to find out a little about how it was made. Now I'm going to have to contemplate how you removed your voice, but with proper timing of muting and unmuting, it might not have been too hard.

the thing is is that in America hardly anyone drinks well water anymore that's clean. So nobody remembers what it tastes like to have natural minerals in the water. Evian water is actually getting flat by the time it gets to us sometimes so the funny thing is is that there's only like about 50% of the bottles of Evian water out there that really taste properly like natural water. By the way the water has so money minerals in it that it doesn't feel you up yet it actually replenishes your fluid levels properly and quickly so you could drink as much of this water as you want and not get sick

It highly depends on the temperature if we can tell even a slight difference, as long as there is no horrible aftertaste.

I usually drink purified or spring water. We have a lot of those here. Artisan waters are easy to come by as well, but I avoid buying them because of two reasons: it's expensive as hell and I hate the consistency.
