  • European Tour part 1
    Well this is it, we have embarked on our summer tour of Europe. We decided to head to the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Sweden as so many others have show us France, Portugal and Spain so for something different we headed the other way.
    In this first part we cover heading out from Dover Court at Harwich across on the Stena Line ferry to take us and our outfit to the Hook of Holland and onwards From here.
    We start our journey with a series of quick overnight stops in order to get us further inland and to the areas that we wish to explore.
    Join us this week where we stay in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark with some amazing campsites and places to stay.

    Excellent video guys! I can see you trying to contain the excitement on your faces! What a great start to your amazing trip! Harwich is pronounced “Harrich” and the land you see the other side of the river when you boarded the ship is Shotley, which is where we were this last weekend! Safe travels guys 👍🏻

    Netto that’s Scandinavian for value 😂. Great filming. Looks like your staying on some nice sites, apart from Germany that looked a little busy and packed in. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your tour. Thank you for sharing.

    I'm almost as excited as you guys, been looking forward to your adventure abroad, good coverage and advice on the ferry crossing. A bit bewildered by your pace of travel, will you be filming any stops and exploration as you did in Jersey? Poor Fudge, my female lab had the same experience but was bit slow on the uptake did it 3 times....now she's got the message. Looking forward to more of your journey... safe travel and Karina those nails 💅 scary. 😉. Enjoy guys....👍👍👍

      Ahhh thanks Geo, the pace so far has just been to get further inland to where we want to be. We slow down now with longer stays and more time to explore. Hope you enjoy the vlogs. 😊👍

    Enjoy the rest your holiday 👍🏻.... We toured Europe in our caravan last year (holland/belgium/germany/france). I actually found it easier towing abroad as the roads are much quieter. Think we might head to Denmark and Sweden next year.

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад +1

      Superb. We must say the roads do seem wider and quieter over here and also the petrol stations are so big there is no hassle even with and 8ft van to fuel on the go. It’s great. Keep us informed if you do get out this way next year we would love to hear about it. 👍👍 all the best Jules.

    I have driven in Europe many times, an my simple tip when driving a r/h car is just remember as you are the driver, you are next to the kerb, this also helps you going round the roundabouts..

      Hi, Fudge did stay in the car. We have a crate that takes up the boot and this is his preferred place / safe place so we decided to leave him in the car. There is a kennel onboard that you can book and leave your pets in. Hope that helps. 👍👍😊 where are you planning to go to ?

    Think it's pronounced Harrich. We went from there to Germany when they used to go to Hamburg. We really enjoyed the Netherlands, stayed near Eindhoven. Were there any special pet requirements for Fudge going into Denmark?

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks for commenting Bob, No special requirements for Denmark just Norway where they have to be wormed which is why we changed our plans as we were going to Norway until we discovered this. Fudge has just got his normal pet passport. 👍

    How did you get on with the EHU and shopping?

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад

      We have brought a Maypole European adapter out with us but so far after 6 different campsites ranging The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Sweden we have used the normal hook up cable. As for shopping we stocked up before coming out on breakfast cereal and non perishable items like microwave rice, tuna, pasta. We have only so far got some salad boxes, milk and bread but looking around the shops it is quite expensive. I would say it’s like shopping at M & S at home in a price comparison. 👍👍

  • @northdevonwildlifewithandy788
    @northdevonwildlifewithandy788 5 лет назад +1

    Where did you research your campsites?

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад +1

      We looked at the route that we wanted to go and then looked at suitable sites near to these. We then found first camp and we’re able to navigate using these to stop at and short stop offs on route as they are so well placed. We then just checked trip advisor to see what others had to say about them. Hope that helps. 👍👍

      Here we Tow have you not considered taking your test, then at least you would have a back-driver if need be ?
      Great to see you head north instead of the usual south Europe trippers.

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow  5 лет назад +1

      Hi, I would love to do the B+E but as we are not working this year and the cost of the test (at least £500) if not more then we can’t feasibly justify it. As we are always together if anything happens in the UK I can just put a “L” plate on and Karina can supervise me to get us out of a pinch. 👍, but it’s definitely something that is on my list to do.

      Here we Tow thanks, appreciate your reply. I had no idea it was so expensive. Enjoy your trip, I look forward to hearing how you get on
